Dammit, it’s coming back around to London they’re predicting! Here’s hoping they’re wrong!
Spring is indeed here! I played my first round of golf today.
My score wasn’t great, and I’ll be feeling it tomorrow, but it was great to be swinging a golf club again. Maybe next time, I’ll use other clubs too. ![]()
Argh! Awoke to a few inches of snow. AGAIN !
(They are, however calling for temps of 21C (70 F) for Monday, so that’s encouraging anyway!)
Yeah, snowing here this morning too. But Monday will be glorious also. Too bad I’ll be at work!
I know that I have said it before, but I really hate Bill Blair.
Wot’s he done now?
I heard he’s handing out doobies to school kids.
Conservative Leadership race: the number-crunching Éric Grenier at CBC is running a composite index to try to show who’s where in the Conservative leadership race. This article is from last month, but ranks them as:
- Maxime Bernier
- Kevin O’Leary
- Andrew Scheer
- Erin O’Toole
- Kellie Leitch
Leitch slides, O’Leary gains in Conservative Leadership Index
Any luck, Leaffan?
Leaffan - any closer to a resolution?
I sold and bought. I actually bought the condo without seeing it first. It’s in Kanata and very nice :). Scheduled to move in mid-July!
Frankie MacDonald only warned of a snowstorm, not the ice storm that is starting now. 7-12 cm of ice pellets today, and 3-7 cm of ice pellets tomorrow.
And here I am with a full set of studded Hakkapeliitta, but I’m stuck with an all-season rental the size of a hockey puck.
Congrats! That’s a big part of the move out of the way. Always good to have a landing pad ready.
Ok, I gotta ask, why, why, why…would anyone buy a condo without seeing it first? What set of circumstances made that a good idea? I’m struggling to think of any. That’s a big commitment to not even bother to see the place first!
Please help me to understand why you chose not to even go see it, before purchasing.
Poysyn had her real estate agent scope the place out, and I am familiar with the neighbourhood and offered my input. It was a new listing and it was in great shape from the numerous pictures. Plus, it’s a bit of a hot market right now. Take it or lose it. She would have had to arrange a flight to Ottawa, yada, yada, yada.
Regarding my place:
I worked out a deal with the court and with the Family Responsibility Office (FRO) to be able to list my place, which will be happening soon.
The circumstances involved would be a very limited time frame, the necessity of a cross-country flight, a hot housing market and busy season, and having a trusted real estate agent on the ground. All things being equal I’m sure Poysyn would have preferred to see it in person, but things don’t always work out that nicely when you’re on a very limited timetable.
Kevin O’Leary quits the leadership race.
Let us rejoice!
One Trump is more than enough. No need for a Trump light in Canada. Reality TV celebrities should stick to TV and leave the real world alone.
Excellent news.

Well, he can presumably re-join Michael Ignatieff on the cocktail circle in Boston, where they both live. Just because you want to be Prime Minister of Canada doesn’t mean you have to live in Canada, apparently.
