Closing ceremonies!
Have snow board, will rock for snow.
I’ve got the closing ceremonies recording in case Rush perform, as is rumored.
If they do, would someone be so kind as to let me know the approximate time they’re on? I’d really appreciate it, since it’d make the fast forwarding to that part a lot easier.
ahem Canadians have a sense of humour, with a “u”. Get it right punk!

Oops, sorry mate. I just so loved the guy fixing the torch at the beginning I forgot to toss the left-over u in. Bygones neighbour.
I thought it was pretty funny too. Best use of a mime I’ve ever seen. It’s a shame they mucked it up with lame music though. Should have had the Tragically Hip up there rather than that lame pop crap.
We just watched some people performing (Eva Avila and two others) some extremely lame pop song, and after they finished their lame performance, the big finish was this little “psst” of confetti coming out. Jim and I both busted out laughing. Yeah, I guess we do have a sense of humour.
Depends on your point of view. Mrsin suggested the confetti was really new improved lightweight condoms for the olympic village kids. We laughed too.
For the ones who haven’t seen the closing ceremonies can you tell us what you’re all on about?
Well you know how in the opening ceremony the torchy thing didn’t work out?
A mime fixed it in the closing ceremony
By the punctuation in the OP, I guess there is only one Canadian with a sense of humor. Just as I thought
Oops, too much wine.
But now you have Bill Shatner, who could ask for anything more?
The montage with all the Canadian athletes apologizing had me just about rolling off the couch.
Ok, the hockey puck kid montage scared me.
Where are the McKenzie bros?
I thought Shatner, O’Hara and Fox – all of whom I love – were not at all funny.
The Busby Berkley number was fun, though.
I missed the very end - was there any nod to the next country to host? I thought that was a tradition.
Only the Moscow State Choir singing the Russian National Anthem…
Kid comes home: “Mom! Great news – I got the job! I’m going to be Puck!”
Mom: “Oh, how wonderful! I just love Shakespeare – and Midsummer Night’s Dream is my very favorite!”
Kid: “Uh . . .”
Will you hate me if I fix it? Errant apostrophes are my personal nemesis.
Fix away. Punctuation is not my strong point.
