I just loved that purple-headed shrew.

Space: Above and Beyond
the animated version of The Tick
Family Guy
Star Trek: DS9 or The Next Generation both of which were really in their prime when cancelled- one to go to movies, the other to preserve the insipid Voyager.
Nothing Sacred
Cracker (It certainly never held a candle to the original British series with Robbie Coltrane, but I liked Robert Pastorelli in the role)
Deadline
Millennium
Strangers With Candy
Ah, Strangers With Candy, a Comedy Central show (other than The Daily Show) I actually liked.
Spoilers
Nick attempted to regain his humanity by draining Natalie very slowly to the brink of death. A similiar trick was found to have worked for Jeanette (That chick that owned the Raven) in an earlier episode of that season. Long story short, Nick went a bit far and accidentally killed Natalie. Nick is distraught and asks LaCroix to stake him through the heart.
LaCroix: You must think me an evil creature responsible for all of this.
Nick: No, you are my best friend.
LaCroix: Damn you. (Stabs him with a stake through the heart)
Show ends.
That’s paraphrased a bit but that’s basically how they ended the show.
I enjoyed both Cupid and Sports Night.
Star Trek.
I never bothered watching the other Roddenberry shows, because I truly believed they were just marking time, waiting for Paramount to come to its senses and bring it back.
And now DeForrest Kelly is dead, and it’s too late.
poop.
MGibson, Thanks. Guess that kills any hope of bringing it back.
If you don’t mind, one final question. Why did Jeanette become human? I thought that she liked being a Vampire.
Twin Peaks!!! All we are saying, is give Peaks a chance…
Early Edition
Picket Fences
Non-mentioned shows:
Swift Justice: UPN, a one-season (if that) lead-in to The Sentinel. Much like The Equalizer (another quality show, but was on its decline when cancelled)
Farscape: Enough said
Strange Luck: Fox Friday night, leading in to The X-Files, with D.B. Sweeney.
Spawn: HBO
Considering I was something like five when that show was on, I didn’t remember enough of it to mention.
And yes. Dr. Who needs to come back, stay British, and not be treated like a kid’s show.
She fell in love with a mortal and while they were making love she’d drain him just a little bit without causing any permanent harm. Somehow that made her mortal though it came as a complete surprise to her. I thought it was kind of a lame way to become mortal but I guess they had to tie up the loose end causes when she left the show.
I think they purposely planned not to bring it back. There’s only so much soft light the director could use to stop Nick and LaCroix from aging.

Get A Life
Am I the only person who remembers…
The Adventures of Brisco County Jr?
Man, I’m all teary-eyed.
Nope, you’re not the only one. It was mentioned earlier in the thread. I liked it to, as I was a Bruce Campbell fan from the Evil Dead movies and was excited in 1993 when Army of Darkness and Brisco County came out.
The brilliant but misnamed Popular(WB, 1999–2000). It was a scathing, witty, absurdist parody of those teen high-school shows—but it was so badly promoted that everyone thought it actually was one of those teen high-school shows. Leslie Grossman as psychotic cheerleader Mary Cherry was the high point of my teevee-watching week!
Another “Sledgehammer” fan checking in. It only lasted about 6 weeks, or so, but I also liked the “Cliff Hangers” series.
Absolutely, Undeclared. That show was genius.
Ok, thanks. Yeah, I guess the aging would be a factor. Oh well.
TENACIOUS D
I covet the few episodes they did…thats funny stuff!
