This list is way too America centric.
Why isn’t there a mention of Gina Hancock, the richest person in Australia.
She is infamous for butchering Australia’s landscape, inheriting her fortune and then criticising the poor. (That is, everyone else but her) Even her own children have disowned her.
Hanoi Jane should be moved to the politics category. I don’t hate her for making movies, I hate her for what she did in Vietnam.
Agreed!
I’m going to assume that you know what she actually did and not what some would have you believe that she did.
For what it’s worth, I think people like Palin and Bachmann should have their own category of “willfully ignorant and perennially stupid”.
Rachel Maddow
You have a point. That said, I doubt there’s any nation on the planet whose residents wouldn’t loathe Nancy Grace if they knew about her.
Unlike the outspoken Mrs. Roosevelt, who was white, so we don’t call her “uppity.”
That’s the category for Jenny McCarthy as well.
And in case anyone missed it, please let me restate that theLea Thompson (that webpage is from NBC and very slanted, but it’s all I could find) I nominated is the TV Journalist from NBC who set off an anti-vaccine panic way back in 1982, and is in no way related to the actress Lea Thompson, whose views on vaccination, as far as I know, are not public.
I put her name in the “In The News” category and will repost all the groups as updated at a later time, to avoid overpopulating this thread with recaps.
Excuse this observation on that topic, but it may the can of worms to end all cans of worms. I would hazard that fully 50% of the candidates already mentioned belong in that category more than the one I have assigned them to.
I could be wrong but willfully stupid seems to be a new fashion (if 20th Century entertainment and politics can be regarded as “new.”)
That would put anyone in a wheelchair.
Joan Rivers?

- Janet Reno
- Nancy Pelosi
- Gail Zappa
- Joycelyn Elders
Let’s not forget Susan Smith.
Little Nemo:
The blonde who was part of the Dana Carvey-Jon Lovitz-Dennis Miller Saturday Night Live cast? What’s she done to offend anyone?
She’s a nasty, awful, stupid, ultra judgmental Christian loon.
Good vote, actually…
This puzzles me. I can see disagreeing with her politics, but she seems very nice and smart.
She’s become a spokesman for the extreme right fringe. She feels America should be run by straight white Christian men, obediently supported by their straight white Christian wives and children.
My recommendation is you do it as a “March Madness” competition rather than a poll. Those usually work better when you’ve got a long list.
