Candidates for Least Favorite Female Human Being

I hate, hate, hate Nancy Grace with the fire of a thousand suns.

I hate, loathe and despise Rosie O’Donnell and Debbie Wasserman-Schultz.

I loathe, detest and despise Hillary Clinton, but for some reason I don’t understand I find I can’t quite bring myself to say I hate her.

The two (make that three) things I despise about her most (in ascending order) is her proclivity to use her husband’s coattails to shoehorn herself into positions of governance that she never elected to perform; her smug, arrogant demeanor; and her stunningly dishonest nature and willingness to lie at the drop of a hat anytime she thinks it benefits her to do so. I’ve often thought to myself that she and her husband lie just like they breathe - constantly and all the time!

I was in a convenience store earlier this evening, and, while waiting to pay for my yummy bottle of chocolate Muscle Milk, spied the latest copy of The Globe tabloid, which is the real life embodiment of the reputation that the National Enquirer has. For decades this piece of crap publication has thrived on articles that are totally made up bullshit such as “The Queen is dying!”, “Camilla’s Evil Plot to Seize the Throne!”; “Obama SLAMS Michelle - 'If I LOSE IT’S YOUR FAULT!”; “BILL CLINTON - 6 MONTHS TO LIVE!” - etc., etc., etc.

I’m not making this up: as I stood there looking at this piece of crap publication it occurred to me that the The Globe and Hillary Clinton were just the same: you can’t believe a thing either of them says!

And yet people who should know better still buy The Globe every week despite the fact that none of its claims ever come true, while others who also should know better continue to listen to and support Hillary Clinton. Go figure.

I’ve often wondered whether she and Bill (whose career-long propensity for lying exceeds even that of his wife) don’t get together behind closed doors and snicker to themselves over how they can lie and lie and lie and lie (and even get busted doing so), and yet still get people to vote for them.

I currently have eighty-nine names on my master list. I’m going to keep accepting nominees until we hit 128 names. And then we’ll start the competition.

This is starting to like it will be a list of the 128 most well known female celebrities currently alive. If Nancy Grace isn’t #1, it will have no credibility in my eyes.

This seems quite reasonable and oughtn’t take many more weeks to accomplish. Have you included any new names from the Top Ten lists in the separate thread I started? I’ll try to collect all the ones mentioned so far but a MUST HAVE is Honey Boo Boo who has risen into my own Top Ten for sure.

This thread is starting to sound an awful like a “Hate List” with individual contributions by separate people all piled onto what is (seemingly) a “THE SDMB HATES insert name LIST”

We don’t all hate everyone the OP has mentioned, they are a combined list of a lot different people’s likes or dislikes. Still, 10 years from now all these women will think that the entire board hates every single one of them, which is completely and totally untrue.
At this time, I’m opting out because for me, staying in this thread beyond this point would make me worse than a lot of the women named.

If my opinion matters, it will be those SDMB participants whose names are associated with the “Final Voting” thread(s) who will be blamed for the SDMB Consensus “We Don’t Appreciate You” List. So bailing out now (or failing to join in after this point) should not hold you liable for any ego damage done to these marvelous human beings.

So far, for me anyway, it’s just the flip side of the “My Favorite Human Beings” concept that seems much more prevalent, not just here but in places like Maxim where the entire female population is subjected to bracket style competitions for “who’s most likely to tighten your undies” sorts of things.

I do appreciate (and pay attention to) the negative comments about the thread and the idea behind it, so more objections are certainly welcome.

I would just hope that the sort of female whose name is making the list might examine how much “love” she’s receiving from the general public and weigh it against the opposite reaction she’s getting here. Do you think any of these ladies will modify their behavior or image to try to win our appreciation?

Not really; I think your logic is all wrong. It’s kind of like the opposite of love isn’t hate, it’s indifference - the worst thing for any of these people is probably to be ignored. Think of professional wrestlers, does anyone care if they play the heel or the good guy as long as they’re in the main event?

Beyond that, you really cannot be famous or noteworthy for very long if you don’t take, or represent something controversial. We live in a culturally divided country, as such, our celebrities will fall along those lines. I saw a poll once where Hillary Clinton won most liked woman as well as most hated.

And when it comes down to it, the things these celebrities are hated for are not serious crimes, they just offend some of our sensibilities. So, in the board’s infinite wisdom, we hate Kim Kardashian for being shallow more than Aileen Wuornos for being a serial killer.

Hands down winner here, but I have a hard time accepting that it is a human being.

May I propose a spin-off thread that might expand on this concept. The imagery is terrific, like those figurine bookends you see in old parlors and such.

Who wants to start that thread? It would be a doozy, IMHO!

My suspicion is that ten years from now, these women will be totally unaware that this message board exists, just as they are now. You can’t hurt them when they can’t hear you. I realize this is a public message board, but how far into the results would you have to go to pull up this thread if you googled any of these women’s names? Quite a ways, I suspect.

Which actually brings up a good reason not to nominate “my ex-girlfriend,” or “my step-MIL,” because we probably should stick to public figures.

You are forgetting about a little unmentionable incident that happened a couple months ago. . . .

She’s black and married to a Democratic president. Anything shes says or does, regardless how innocuous, is going to be considered outrageous and inappropriate by conservatives. I suspect Michelle breathing the same air they do is a bit much for hard right Republicans.

No, I’m not, I’m unaware of it. What happened? (IM if the Mods say it’s not for public comment.)

If you will, compare your list to this latest collection of 97 names which includes the Top Ten lists’ names marked with <<<.

There are other names mentioned in passing here and there that I have not included. Perhaps the people who mentioned them will repeat them for keeps.

And by all means, Readers, add to the tally. We need 128 names for the March Madness Magic to work.

To the parenthetical phrase after Lea Thompson “(TV journalist)” can you specify “NOT actress” so people are aware that yes, there are two people with the same name, and will maybe go Google the TV journalist-vaccine alarmist, if they have not heard of her.

Also, it never occurred to me that people might not realize Allison DuBois is a real person, and that I was nominating the fictional character portrayed by Patricia Arquette, or somehow, Arquette herself. Allison DuBois is only not as bad as Sylvia Browne by virtue of not having been around as long, but she’s pretty awful. Aside from being a fake psychic, she’s a right-wing nut, and advocate of the death penalty, who claims that she can talk to the dead, so she knows that there are no innocent people on death row.

Maybe you haven’t noticed, but “hard right” Republicans don’t seem to have any problem breathing the same air as Clarence Thomas, Alan West, Alan Keyes, Herman Cain, etc., etc., etc.

Perhaps the problem with the couple in the White House isn’t really the color of their skin but their politics? And in the case of the distaff half, it’s her proclivity to try to set government policy when she hasn’t been elected to do so…you know, just like another Democrat wife (who happens to be white) which many hate with greater fervor than they ever have Michelle Obama.

Michelle Obama “tries to set government policy?” I must have missed that.

I’m fixing Lea’s entry right now (it may be a while showing up again here). Thanks for the clarification that Allison is not Patricia. Patricia is at the other extreme of the Likeability Scale for me, and has been since True Romance and other fine films. I just love her laugh!
