CandidGamera's Comic Book Trivia

Correct, and correct. I have seen him billed as the Man Without Fear, but not often and not recently.

Well, the guy sort of resembles Jason Woodrue, but again I must say no.

You mean Blackbriar Thorn.

We have a winnah! Give the man a kewpie doll.

#13) Wonder Woman loses her powers when her bracelets are bound together.

Correct. I accepted DocCathode’s answer… I would’ve accepted ‘when she’s bound’, actually… I tend to be forgiving.

Yeah, but if I recall correctly, it had to be her bracelets that were bound, and it did not have to be a man doing the binding. A lot of her early foes seemed to be dominatrices.

The reason I tend to go easy is because comic book characters are interpreted and reinterpreted and projected into alternate realities and revamped and retconned until it’s hard to say with certainty what the exact truth is.

RE Wonder Woman

I have a reprint of her first appearance (“We will decide the winner with one final contest- Bullets and Bracelets!”) and it says “an amazon loses all her powers when bound by a man.”

I stand by my answer.

I stand corrected.

Why do you put question marks at the end of statements that are not questions?

Mirage had the power to turn invisible, and he used it at the end of the first Transformers TV series to sneak aboard the the Decepticon’s ship.

His hobby on Cybertron was hunting cyber-foxes (sounds like it should have been Hound’s, doesn’t it?). Damned if I can remember what kind of gun that was, though.

Now I remember! It was some kind of armour-piercing dart gun, wasn’t it?

Y’know, if Fenris ever finds this thread, it’s all over. He helped this thread last 20 pages.

BINGO!

Give that man an Energon Cube!

Question:

Who did Archie Andrews meet first: Betty or Veronica?

I feel ashamed. I figure I’m batting just over five hundred on these questions.

Here’s one of my own:

Besides Wonder Woman, what else did William Marston invent?

Um… Betty?

Figured I had a 50/50 shot

We already went over this one. The lie detector test. (note the golden lasso tie in)

Shit. I skimmed the thread but I was pretty sure that no one had asked that one. Guess I’m the poster child for the argument that you should carefully read all the posts before you make one yourself.

How 'bout this:

Which ABC series features a character(s) that Alan Moore did not create?

I’m answering the nes I think I know now before reading down to find out.

–SSgtBaloo

Correct.

Next Question: Why was Betty able to meet Archie first? (In continuity terms, of course.)

Um…

Because Veronica had gone to private school for years and Betty and Archie went to public school?

Just an aside. I firmly believe that Jughead was a criminal mastermind who engineered the whole love triangle thing for his own nefarious purposes.
