It may be… however, I actually remember reading the story in question, and I can count the number of issues of Chase I’ve read on two fingers.
Thank you, I won’t be going through to verify all the answers as correct or incorrect, as I’ve done that already in the thread … but I swear to you I think that Cap’s shield was vibranium with “proto” adamantium as another poster answered.
I haven’t seen the Avengers annual in question, but I think I remember seeing it described thusly in the Marvel Super Heroes RPG, at least. Hmm… I could check my haphazard and sparse collections of Official Handbooks of the Marvel Universe, I s’pose…
