YES! Best chocolate bar, ever.
Also, Faith No More covering the Nestle Alpine White jingle.

:dubious: Only Marianne Faithfull knows for sure.
I won’t go there, although I’m tempted.
Well okay, I will, but just a little bit and only because you made me.
The Mars Bar that Ms. Faithfull so notoriously appreciated was probably the British version, which was (and still is, as far as I know) an entirely different product from the classic American Mars Bar.
.
Agreed. I liked to refrigerate them for 15 minutes or so, pick off the chocolate and eat it, then eat the center.
Wow. I didn’t know they still made Whatchamacallit.
I remember the ad blitz when I was a kid.
Wow! I managed to find pictures of the old AbbaZabba wrapper, and the display box the bars came in. I remember the wrappers, but never saw the box before.

Yup. We’ve got some in the candy machine downstairs. Want me to get you one?
We wandered in to It’s Sugarwhile at Broadway at the Beach in Myrtle Beach earlier this year.
They had so many things that I thought were extinct. I had to get some Clark and Oh Henry! bars and other things too.
They may not have everything, but when’s the last time you saw Fruit Stripe or Teaberry gum?
I found a display discounted 50% just last week. I hope the 50% off was hold overs from Halloween, and not because they are going the way of the dodo.
But, I picked up a bag. so I am good, thanks though.
Another vote for Seven Up. Save the Brazil nut for the end, suck the chocolate off, and spit out the nut.
I saw a big ol’ Chunky bar for sale at Cracker Barrel just a couple of weeks ago.
Koxinga:
I’ll bet you were listening to your Geronimo Jackson album while eating it, too.
I miss the Mocha version of Nestle Crunch they had for a few years in the late 1990’s-early 2000’s. I was addicted to them for a while.
Also, I recall with fondness the candy called “Oompa Loompas”, which were what you get when you mate M & Ms with Reeses Pieces.
Seconded! It was the best candy bar ever!
An old-timey store–Vidler’s in East Aurora, NY–has them. I always get one each of the vanilla, maple, and caramel. So, they might be around somewhere in Chicagoland, too.
I wish they still sold Reese’s Chunky Peanut Butter Cups in the US. I realize that I can buy them just over the river in Canada, but it would be nice to be able to get one at the local market once in a while too.
No, they sucked, but you have the best username I’ve ever seen here
Thank you! Yours is pretty awesome, also!
That looks identical to Curly Wurlies. I bring them back for a friend every time I go back to Blighty.
I’m convinced that if these were introduced today, they’d be a hit. They were too good for time period they were made in.
THIS JUST IN -
My sister in San Diego tells me that she just bought a Mars Bar at WalMart.
Still has the same shape as a Snickers, but the “Snickers With Almond” has been replaced with “Mars.”
Good. They shouldn’t have futzed with it in the first place.
.
Yes, sir.
