I can send Vernor’s ginger ale. I don’t know if any of you like ginger ale, but Vernor’s is a real Detroit thing. Has a lot of bite to it, apparently. I think Faygo soda is local too, but it’s just like Shasta and isn’t anything to get excited about.
I wonder if the best way to do this is just to do a white-elephant style swap. Just match people up blindly. You send me some regional food, I’ll send you some. Maybe we won’t get what we’re craving, but we’ll get something interesting. Just a suggestion for easing the administration. That’s why I haven’t used the provided email address to “sign up”–I wasn’t sure how we’d do this.
By the way, if anyone near Buffalo can’t figure out candy to send, how about Anchor Bar hot sauce and the sharp-n-creamy mustard (brand I can’t remember) I’m addicted to?

Bad news to who wanted the Marathon bars, I’ve heard they have been officially discontinued. I want Jolly Joes. Ever had them? ummmmm… grape candy is so good, and there isn’t enough of it.
I found 6 boxes of Jolly Joes at a dollar store, and bought them all. They are almost all gone. Ever had Jolly Joes? They are made by Just Born, like the Mike and Ikes.

As for a price range, well, snack food is generally cheap, so I don’t think it will be that big a problem. But I know that some things (like fancy chocholate, or something) is expensive, so a price limit might be wanted.
