Can't believe I'm asking... How do you use "Stickers" in Facebook (Desktop)?

So, Facebook has had “Stickers” (giant emoticons, basically) in their mobile app chat/messaging for a while now. They just released it for Facebook on desktop web browser… allegedly. (This article, and a hundred others like it, mention this fact.)

However, I cannot for the life of me find them in the desktop browser version of FB. All I see are the old, tiny smilies. Anybody able to help?

When you send someone a message, the “New Message” popup appears. In the lower right hand corner of that, next to the photo (camera) button, is the smiley button. Click that and a list appears; at the top of that list are three tabs by default for “meeps” (big smileys), “pusheen” (cats), and “emoticons” (small smileys). To the far right of those tabs is the Sticker Store, where you can find other stickers.

Like this image.

They’re silly but slightly adorable.

See now, I’m not seeing that popup. (I see that on my mobile FB app, but not desktop.) Mine looks different (snapshot).

ETA: Also, no Stickers in my Message function, not just chat.

Facebook runs different interfaces for different users, in part because they’re slow to roll out new features, in part because they like to test different things on different folks (“A/B testing”). That’s probably what you’re experiencing.

You can try to migrate to a newer version of Facebook by signing up for Graph Search and/or the new News Feed. Note that this has the potential to change your UI drastically, depending on how far back you are right now, and you may not like the new features.
