Saw it Saturday with a military audience, which was fun. Is it just me or did the movie not put nearly enough thought into the repercussions of the ending?
[spoiler]What about all the undercover agents who just got un-undercovered? The other agencies whose secrets just all got blown? The other countries whose secrets just all got blown? Sorry, honey, but Black Widow wouldn’t be alive long enough to testify after this shitstorm! And then everybody just… goes to work for other people? Like the CIA isn’t full of Hydra, Sharon? I know we just had a “who watches the watchmen” problem but the answer is not to take a job in Stark HR, Maria!
Kind of felt all along that the movie thought it was raising Important Questions but really just shouting platitudes past itself (most notably in that scene between Cap and Fury with The Plan) and certainly didn’t offer up any proposed solutions, by any character.
I saw it on an American army base with a bunch of Americans Americaning. You gotta have the right connections.
In the ladies’ room in the middle of the movie (I am great with child and am always peeing) there was this little boy who was just completely inconsolable because “where’s Tony, mom? I want to see Tony!” Evidently he doesn’t have the Shining, he just really loves Iron Man.
