CBS Daytime Programming Rant

I took a half-day off work a couple weeks ago, I came home at 1:00 PM, EST - waiting for Cable Guys to come and fix it.

I wanted to watch Guiding Light - I thought it was on a 3:00 PM, EST. I did some stuff for a couple hours waiting - for the show and the Cable Guys. 3:00 PM comes and NO Guiding Light, in it’s place is Dr. Phil - who is an ASS.

I got a TV Guide and come to find out Guiding Light has been moved to 10:00 AM, EST. What? - Isn’t that time relegated to Games Shows or Talk Shows, and for as long as I remember it has been on at 3:00 PM. I am in my 30’s, I have been watching Guiding Light since I was a teenager - it was my Mom’s favorite and we would watch. Now, I don’t get to watch it too often because I work 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, I can read about it, but it’s just not the same.

Thanks, CBS - you must want to cancel this show, cause no-one knows when it is on, and I am sure I am not the only one who thinks it is on at 3:00 PM. CBS A-Holes move it back, and put that ASS - Dr. Phil at 10:00 AM, that’s where he should be.

You may want to rant about your local CBS “affiliate” not CBS. They switch things around based on popularity. My local NBC affiliate has put The Caroline Rhea Show on at late nights and really messed around with the schedule. They put Dr. Phil in the old slot of The Rosie O’Donnell Show.

I am sitting here, at 12:47 watching a damn infomercial.

It’s the local affiliate that does daytime programming, you might email them from their website and complain. If they get enough complaints they will redo their schedule. Guiding Light comes on here at 1:00 pm, locally.
