Celebrities still around, or "Wow, I thought they were already dead".

I think what he’s saying is that, because he wasn’t a fan of the Batman animated series, he didn’t know that Efrem was still active.

Efrem Zimbalist Jr is the voice of Alfred in any of the DCU animated shows. Which means he’s been playing Alfred regularly for the last 17 years.

For those of us that watched Batman: The Animated Series, those voices (and that animation) basically set in stone how those characters should look and act in real life.

Herbert Lom (born 1917) is the king of my “celebrities unexpectedly still alive” list now that Joan Fontaine & Olivia De Havililand have been named already.

Forgoing, for the moment, the content of that clip, I hope I look that good when I’m 91.

Hell, I hope I look that good tomorrow.

I love On the Town, but de gustibus. What are you calling its sequel?

By looking at this I just learned that I have mistakenly thought she was married to Tom Waits for years now. Sorry, Tom.:o

Thanks for setting ghardester straight, kenobi 65 and Justin_Bailey.

Well, except for Mark Hamill, presumably.

Concur. FWIW, he’ll always be Daniel Chalmers to me.

Well, it’s gratifying to learn I discovered this independently.

I was disappointed that the producers of The Dark Knight passed over Mark Hamill until the pencil scene. From that moment on Heath Ledger was the Joker.

Hmm…better check.

Yeah, he’s still here.

My girlfriend and I were watching Mommie Dearest this weekend. During the “night raid” scene, I paused the DVD and turned to her and said, “I’m gonna make this wire hanger disappear. Ta-daa!”

She giggled.

Idon’t know if they rate the celebrety label but Geordy Howe and johnny Bower are both still alive and they seemed like old guys when I was watching them in the 60’s

He might be referring to “Wonderful Town,” though it’s not a sequel to “On the Town.”

Both are great, though.

Am I the only person thinking about bookmarking this thread so that I can take notes when making my next DeathPool entry?:stuck_out_tongue:

Yeah, but you know it would be cheating.

Remembered another one.

Eli Wallach, 93 (and celebrated his 61st wedding anniversary a few months ago)

I was suprised that Gregory Peck had passed away, only a few years ago too. Someone mentioned he had a holiday home in Donegal, I had hoped we might see him when visiting a family friend’s holiday home.

After looking up a few Star Trek episodes, I was suprised to find Forbidden Planet’s Doc Ostro (Warren Stevens was still kicking about. Hardly surprising since his captain, Leslie Nielsen is looking well for 83, but Stevens seemed to have aged so much between FP and his appearance in Star Trek.

Haley Joe Osment, Jonathan Lipnicki, Alex Winter and several of the Coreys from the 80s (Haim, Feldman, Hart, maybe one or two others)–ALIVE! Unrecognizable, but alive!

Robert Downey Jr is still alive.

Morton Downey Jr is not.

Wow, that’s so weird. I was just thinking about Morton Downey today, for some reason.
