Yeah, I have to agree with Steve Buscemi, but I have to say that it’s very likely if he didn’t have the talent he did, he would probably not get laid.
Michael Ian Black - he is in that show Ed (which I’ve never watched). He also was one of the people giving commentary during VH1’s I Love the 80’s Strikes Back. He was so dead-pan and so very sarcastic that after about an hour of watching, every time he spoke, I just wanted to rip his clothes off and do nasty dirty things to him. What can I say - apparently to me, sarcasm is a huge turn on.
Kiefer Sutherland. I’ve been in lust with him since 1986 - never could explain it.
You had me up to Kiefer, Mauvaise… Steve and Michael (who I only know from the VH1 show I could definitely go for but Kiefer?? Give me Lyle Lovett instead
I think that David Ducovey is really good looking. It’s odd cause he doesn’t have outstanding individual features, but all of them together are perfect.
And I still have fantasies of Anne Robinson of The Weakest Link fame dressed in a black leather teddy and holding a cat o’ nine tails telling me to bark like a dog
He’s supposed to be strangely attractive? The man is gorgeous.
I definitely agree about Steve Buscemi, though it kinda skeeves me out to think about it, considering he’s nearly the same age as my parents. The other one for me is Luke Wilson. I just love to watch that man act.
Heh - I’m glad someone else said Kiefer Sutherland - there definitely is something attractive about the guy. Also Matthew Broderick.
But Kiefer’s dad Donald Sutherland is also attractive in an old man kind of way. Great voice!
Also Eminem.
None of the above are people I’d absolutley be swooning in the presence of but they are people I can’t deny I find quite attractive in spite of what my head might say…
I don’t think this one’s embarassing, but I seem to be mostly alone in it – Buffy Sainte-Marie. I think I may actually have had a pre-school crush on her back when she was on “Sesame Street”, although my memories are vague.
This one is embarassing, but I still admit to it every time these threads come up – Iggy Pop. He’s a loathsome, offensive brute, yet I cannot look away.
One that’s not mine – I had a friend in college who had a huge thing for Kevin Spacey. No one else could understand it. She’d get really excited whenever he had a movie coming out, and there’d usually be an exchange between her and someone unfamiliar with her crush that went something like this: “Oh, the new Kevin Spacey movie’s out this weekend!” “Kevin Spacey? Yeah, he’s a pretty good actor…” “And HOT!” People often thought she was joking.
That’s my husband you’re saying is ‘strangely’ attractive. There’s nothing strange about it - he’s sexy as hell. And smart too!
I can name two of the things that does it for me wrt Kiefer: the way his upper lip will curl when he plays “evil” roles. And his voice. Makes my elbows sweat!
Yes! I wholeheartedly agree that Mr. Duchovny is, without a doubt, one of the most wonderful-looking men to ever appear on screen. He’s probably why I became such a big fan of the X-Files.
Also:
Jeff Goldblum
Elijah Wood
Tobey McGuire
Lynne Russell, former anchor on CNN, despite the fact she reminds me of a young(er) Donald Fagen. (I think it’s the mouth. Anybody remember how Donald Fagen looked during Steely Dan’s early days? Lips and teeth all over the place.)
I know who you mean and I agree. I think it was the neck ridges. Mmm.
By the way, I took the OP to mean what celebrities are you attracted to that aren’t generally considered attractive. Many of those who’ve been mentioned are generally considered to be attractive.
Finding the actors who played hobbits in LOTR attractive isn’t really that odd, they’re all good looking men. Heck, Elijah Wood is just beautiful. The only reason I don’t find him sexually attractive is because I remember him as a child actor and I wanted to adopt him then and I am old enough to be his mother, so naughty thoughts about him make me feel … dirty. But damn he is pretty and I could just sit and look at him for hours.
Okay, so maybe that is a strange attraction.
Another one, but it’s the character, not the actor (who is good-looking enough on his own, but traditionally good-looking): The Host from the TV show Angel, played by Andy Hallett. Horns, green skin and all, if that world were real, I’d be hitting on him instead of Angel.
Geez, there’s a lot of names in the thread that are people who are OBVIOUSLY attractive. Fran Drescher? Sure, bad voice, but the woman is beautiful and has a body that could cause a 25-car pileup. Kiefer Sutherland is widely admired for his looks.
My choice would be Bonnie Hunt. I don’t know what it is about her, but I just can’t tear my eyes away.
Count me in for Eminem, but I don’t think that’s strange. Have you seen the “Superman” video?
I’ve always had a thing for David Letterman. Don’t know what it is, but he’s got it.
