Celebrities you find strangely attractive

I was going to say the same thing. She’s always so attractive in pictures, but is so attractive when I see her on TV. It’s kinda the opposite of Sarah Silverman.

Naw, it’s still funny. You know, women will sometimes use bad pickup lines on other women, too.

That’s what I was going to post. I love funny women.

That girl who is in the Rhapsody ads which are plaguing the internet this week. Anyone know who she is???

Will wholeheartedly support the choice of Tilda Swinton. There’s something quite inexplicably ethereal that draws me to her.

As for men, I’d toss in Daniel Craig (the new James Bond another poster couldn’t recall) and Jeremy Irons.

Illeana has always been the textbook definition of butterface.

Lots of strange choices here, but that’s expected. Summer Glau for me falls into the obviously attractive to everyone but me category. Strangely attractive? Same for many others.

Tilda Swinton fits. I don’t see the attraction, but if you do, that makes sense. Kathy Bates fits and…well, just get help. Or at least stronger eyeglasses. There are others, but someone chose Kate Winslet? It was obvious the Alba post was a joke…can we also assume the Winslet post whooshed me? Or have our collective perceptions become so skewed that any girl who looks like she had a bowl of pasta in the past 30 days is considered unattractive now?

In the “Poison” video he’s damn hot! There’s a couple of pics around too that really do him well. Recenly, however…well, he’s still my favorite anyway!

Have I mentioned lately that I look exactly like Alice Cooper?

Well, except I’m younger than he is, of course.

I always thought that both of the lead actresses from Frasier (Jane Leeves as Daphne and Peri Gilpin as Roz) were STUNNERS, but no one else (at least Hollywood gossip mags or entertainment TV shows) ever seemed to view them as sex-symbols.
[/QUOTE]

That could’ve been by their choice. I know Jane Leeves started out as eye candy on “The Benny Hill Show” and that her first notable American role was as a big-haired short-skirted record company secretary on the mostly-forgotten sitcom 80s sitcom “Throb”. She probably wanted to get away from being typecast in bimbo roles after that.

In years past, someone like Illeana Douglas would’ve got her nose fixed in order to be considered for more than character roles. I think she does deserve some credit for not giving in to the temptation to do that even though it arguably cost her some roles.

You Tilda Swinton fans might appreciate that the Fug Girls at Go Fug Yourself always refer to her as SWINTON because she is so distinctive.

Actually I think she’s flat out sexy, no apologies needed. Look at that hair and smile! Compare that to my OP, who I think is very attractive but I would have a hard time explaining why.

 You think Kristen Schaal is more obviously beautiful than Carey Mulligan?

Ghostbusters-era Harold Ramis. I had such a massive nerd crush on him.

Ah, no, it’s Illeana Douglas’ face that I find so attractive. And I’m not otherwise into concentration-camp-skinny women. Indeed, her body isn’t what I notice.

She seems so strange and mooney-looking, but I can’t take my eyes off that face.

I certainly didn’t mean to disparage Ms. Douglas, though I see where it may have come off like that. IMO, she is a butterface whose rocking body trumps her slightly below average face (personally, I think her baggy eyes detract more from her face than her nose, but those could have been altered too, had she chosen to do so).

Oh come on, these don’t count! Or are you being sarcastic?
For me, it’s Courtney Love. I wouldn’t want to be married to her, but I’d bet an evening or two of debauchery with her could prove… very interesting.

Not safe for work

That’s hot. And she looks great for being 46.

It just occurred to me that the OP might have been a joke from the start, in which case the irony in this thread now runs about 17 layers deep.

So this thread is the like ‘Inception’, with sarcastic remarks instead of dreams? Cool.
But I am quite serious. I’m another vote for Jeff Goldblum, plus I loved Christopher Walken around about the time he did ‘The Dead Zone’. But my biggest crush right now is the Abed character on ‘Community’. Oh, and the Ben guy from ‘Parks and Recreation’. I have a serious case of nerd lust.

The person who I always pick for these types of threads - [Rossi de Palma](http://www.google.com/images?q=rossi de palma). No one has ever responded with anything near “she’s fine, what are you on about?” And the choice is a sincere one - I find her very alluring, but I tend to like very odd faces.

I don’t think he counts as “strangely attractive”. He might not have an attractive personality, but he is damn sexy!
