Holly Robinson Peete, Curtis Stone

You know what would keep me off the Celebrity Apprentice? Aside from the part about me not being a, you know, celebrity? Having my bowel habits broadcast to the nation.

So far, I’ll never be able to erase the image of Curtis Stone and Debbie Gibson taking stinky dumps in the Apprentice apartment after lovingly being outed by their fellow contestants.

Non-Celebrity status didn’t prevent Aubrey O’Day from appearing on the show. As well as couple of the women in this years cast.

You want non celebrity? Two seasons ago on Celebrity Rehab they had the mother of someone on a BET show, and some rich 20 something who may have a famous father, but isn’t famous himself.

Oh no, you’ve got that wrong. Aubrey is a platinum-selling artist!
(That’s what she claimed this week. Talk shit (ha!) about Debbie Gibson if you want, Aubrey, I can at least name a song… more than one song of hers.)

I suppose that’s technically true, but Dayana doesn’t have to remind people she’s Miss Universe, Arsenio doesn’t have to remind people that he was the top talk show host once, even hateful Lisa doesn’t have to remind people that she’s America’s crassest comedienne… you see where I’m going with this.

Anyway, stop picking on Aubrey, she was bullied in school, you know?

Yeeeeeeeeeeeee haw. Ding Dong the Witch is Dead! Lisa the Bully is gone.

I think Clay is definitely in the final 2 and damn I hope it is Arsenio he is going against.

I only caught the last half-hour (watching “Sherlock”) – but I hope someone explained to John Rich that one of the reasons no one raised crazy amounts of money this season is that most of the tasks were flat-rate wins, not “who can raise more.” There’s no point to calling up your rich friends if that’s not what the task is.

And, yay, glad Lisa was the first of the final four cut. “I never lost control of my emotions” – almost as big a lie as “I worked with Castro and the Dalai Lama.” Does Aubrey even worry about credibility when she starts running off at the mouth with her lies?

I wonder if Trump will go for ratings and put Aubrey in the final 2? She’s proven herself to be pure poison in any group that’s she’s worked with. But, that’s also ratings gold. I got a bad feeling she’ll be in the final 2. <darn it>

So, will it be Clay or Arsenio in the final with her? I do think Clay hurt his chances by only taking the PM job twice this season and John Rich brought that up in the interview. Trump never respects people that play it safe. How many times was Arsenio PM?

I’d love to see Clay vs Arsenio in the final, but will be very surprised if Trump goes that direction.

Tonight was the first episode where I started channel hopping. I just didn’t give a crap about that Magazine Ad for a hair dryer. That had to be one of the most boring challenges yet.

My WAG. Lisa and Clay both had interviews talking about their interviews in the same clothes that they were wearing during the show. IE, they must have been filmed that same night. Arsenio and Aubrey had different clothes on. Since Lisa is gone, I’m afraid that Clay will be the next. I hope I’m wrong.

I don’t see how it can’t be Aubrey and Arsenio. Aubrey was always the driving force in her team’s projects and Arsenio has been steadily building as a player in the game. I just don’t see Clay stepping up as much as the other two plus you have the Arsenio v. Aubrey III battle to garner ratings.

Plus Arsenio is simply more famous than Clay.
I’ve forgotten: how many times was he PM?

Clay’s blog and he has some interesting comments about Lisa.

Remember, despite her claims otherwise, Aubrey O’day was not famous prior to this show. Few people claimed to have had heard of her in this thread and I have read some other message boards with people saying that they didn’t know who she was.

If we use a the SDMB as a barometer of Pop culture, Aubrey O’Day was never mentioned (before this thread started) in these boards.

And Twickster, no one called out John Rich on his hammering the final four on not raising money. and they should have. IIRC there was only two of them this season (sandwiches, NY guide book) thus far, and none of the final four were the Project Managers (Teutul, Velasquez, Guidice, Snider)
Of the Final three, Arsenio leads in fundraising ($105k) to Clay ($60k) and Aubrey ($50k). But Lisa had the most at 130k of the final four.

Records as Project Manager:
Arsenio is 2-0
Aubrey 1-1
Clay 1-1

Lisa 2-1

A tweet hint from Clay. Unfortunately, I don’t have the preview recorded and I didn’t pay much attention last night. Someone fill us in please? What’s note worthy in the preview?

So Lisa took the risky slot most often, and won the most money. So despite John’s hammering on that point, it doesn’t seem to have carried much weight with Trump.

I did notice that all the players seemed to have a (possibly) unstated agreement to take the PM slot in turns. Which is gentlemanly, but yeah, these guys are supposed to be COMPETING with each other to raise money for their charity. Too bad there wasn’t at least one aggressive player saying the equivalent of “I’ll be the PM each time if no one else wants it.” Then we wouldn’t have those scenes of someone having to be cajoled to take it.

This seasons group of celebrities didn’t seem to have access to any donors with deep pockets. What few they had were used in the first couple of fund raising challenges early. I think that’s why most of the later challenges weren’t the fund raising kind.

I doubt Clay, Arsenio, or Aubrey know very many people they can get big donations from. I’m curious to see how this effects the final challenge. I’d hope they each have at least one person left they can call. But, I don’t expect the big dollars we saw last season with John Rich.

Arsenio’s got Magic Johnson. His check in the first episode didn’t arrive in time, so it didn’t get cashed.

He did just buy the Dodgers, so he might be a little short on cash right now.

Even though Arsenio and Aubrey have both been pm as many times as Clay, they really hammered the point with Clay that he was playing it safe by not taking the leadership role more often. It felt like they were setting up some kind of excuse to fire him.

It’s unfortunate that Aubrey’s true personality didn’t seem to shine through in the interviews. They actually thought she was nervous. Pfft, I have not once seen her too nervous to throw glorious praise upon herself. If the final would have been her and Lisa, I would probably not watch. Can’t stand either of their personalities.

I don’t know if I can watch the next season of CA if Aubrey ends up winning this thing .

Man, I thought Theresa’s four page insert was about 100 times better than the other one.

I claimed that after Lisa’s outburst against Dayana ast week she would not make the finals no matter what. Is it possible that Trump discounted the advice of the interviewers because it ran counter to what he had seen/heard about Lisa? Or is it that she has been steadily losing it over the last couple of weeks (a point made by Marlee) and he thought she couldn’t handle the pressure of the final task?

As for Clay’s tweet about looking at the preview, remember how they sat in the boardroom? Trump looked in Clay’s direction when he said, “You’re fired.”

And someone mentioned upthread that no one had this group picked (I think for the final 5). I will say I was at 50% picking both ladies for the final 4 (Lisa and Aubrey) but I had Dee and Paul for the men. I also had Lisa and Aubrey not making the finals so either way I’m 0% for the final 2. And yes I do want Aubrey to win and I don’t know why. <punches self in nuts>
