Change of seasons in the MMP

Howdy Y’all! We deheathenated and then came back to da cave and had sammiches for N.O.L. We did a Judas Walk (leavin’ right after Communion) even though I, at least, didn’t mean to do so. See, I had needed to pee real bad, so I was just goin’ to do that right quick and be back for Post-Communion prayer, the blessin’, processional hymn and dismissal, but OYKW followed me out so after I peed we left. ::Hangs head in shame:: Anywho, nappage got accomplished and then I made an actual sup of cubed steak 'n gravy, butter beans, rice, and bizkits. 'Twas good and leftovers for tomorrow’s sup so win-win.

I’m watching the game. I’m not liking it but I am watching.

That freaking back-up for the Bears is amazing. Along with their entire defense.

I’ll start ‘cooking’ in about 20 minutes or so. I grilled rib-eyes last night, and we each only ate half of ours. I’ll warm them up in the toaster oven, and make a couple of over-easy eggs for each of us.

Canes lost today. But we did have the worst tow refs in the entire NHL today. Be we got to sit in a suite ,so I got to pretend to be a fancy rich person. Also, I get to be on the radio tonight at 9:00, if you want to hear my opinions.

Oh?

That I may just stay up for. Lord knows after the game I am not all that tired. Neither are the Vikings. To me after all these years of following the Purple People Eaters I got a respect for the Pack. But Chicago ---- they are just the itch that won’t stayed scratched. Chicago can suck ----- and still win. They can screw up every play ---- and still win. The can lose their best starters and still win. You almost have to admire a team that has your favorite THAT down pat.

Had to haul DH to ER with a pain crisis, in his RIGHT hip (broken leg was the left). Dr diagnosed bad muscle spasms (DH was rating unmedicated pain around 8!), sent him home with a muscle relaxant. At this point, DH has been down for a nap a good deal longer than he’s typically been sleeping lately, which certainly won’t hurt him. I can’t think that pain and sleep issues are helping his blood sugar control any, either.

Gotta make some MexiGoo. I’ll be using it as chip dip, not sure what DH will do with it. We both like it, and a mix of refried beans, taco meat, and nacho cheese sauce sounds like it’ll meet his dietary needs at this point.

Likely taking tomorrow off, both because we need to check in with the orthopedist about more pain meds and because I think I’m starting to get ill, so am going to take a “take care of the caretaker” day. I still consider this legit for my FMLA.

Thought of you in the sto’ today; they had not one but two pair of socks for you. One was perfect & the others were about your best friend.

Put a fork in it. I mean the new one; it;s like a mini fireworks show in your kitchen.

Hobbits don’t do that, but minions & cartoon dogs do.

Did they get the hook?

Ruble, he wants to give us his opinion; looks like we need to beat him.
Today was one of those days. Got up at dark:30 to, as expected, turn over & go back to sleep. (Twasn’t flyable). Went to a class that was more of a sales pitch than a class. The weather was very nice but I couldn’t get ice cream to save my sole. Finally got it at DQ, which was the fourth place I went to. Two had ridiculous lines while the place between them had four people inside the facility but only one was irking. There was an older (prolly almost 65 ) lady who was shmoozing the family at the front of the line but that just meant she was in the way of the window for the one girl who was actually doing anything to hand stuff out.

Home from Baltimore.

My friend ended up canceling her plans which had been rescheduled from yesterday, but I think it’s not something she really wants to do anyway, so I stayed longer than expected.

The desk fit in the truck bed, barely. It is very heavy, all the pieces are in the kitchen. Tomorrow we’ll get them upstairs. Since the stairs, hallway, and soon to be office are carpeted, we can just slide the desk top up the stairs and then assemble it.

The mosquito spray is supposed to kill mosquitoes for six months, it isn’t. I sat outside with the dogs for about 10 minutes when I got home and I have bites all over me.

I think Echo is getting the hang of riding in the truck. She was pretty bad most of the trip down. She was good the whole way home.
She also made it all the way up the stairs today, and with a little encouragement, made it the whole way down on her own. I hope I don’t have to carry her anymore.

My son is pissing me off. He has an assignment for school which involves doing some community service and he says he is going to take a zero instead of doing the assignment. It’s bad enough that he is taking a zero for himself, but it is a team assignment and he is letting the team down too. It’s nothing too challenging, the team is going to an orphanage and spending time with the kids there.
I wish I had a hot tub. I love them. I would pet sit for a client who had one, I used to fall asleep in it, and then the acorns hitting me in the head would wake me up. My bath tub sucks as it is very narrow, but deep, and I feel like I am in a coffin. Getting a walk in tub is on the agenda, maybe, because the people I know who have them don’t like them because you have to sit there until all the water drains out.

I saw the neighbor from two doors up at the dog park today. I found out she got a letter from the city too, so now I don’t feel so picked on. She did have weeds in the parking pad. She thinks the city just sends them out to everybody.

nettie, I would say that a mental health day for the caregiver would fall under FMLA guidelines. But, I’m no expert.

Hook, interference, checking to the head. And Tom Wilson got 10 for being himself.

I believe Doggio had an “assignment” that involved community service, though for some reason his professor’s office was in the Parole & Probation Dept.

Note to self: The Bar exam does not involve drinking Yuengling in dive bars.

This is a class on leadership. Three students to a team, three projects, each student has a turn at being the leader for one of the projects and the other two students have to critique them.

I am so angry at him right now

I know it could be worse, but I am so very very angry.
