Changing the world...one MMP at a time!

Foam might work. Maybe I’ll try it.

I shouldn’t be at work today. I’m going to leave early. I was feeling better earlier, but I can’t stay here all day. I just can’t.

Today is cleaning day too.

I scrubbed the bathroom, helped clean up my son’s room, the living room was done yesterday and the kitchen is being scrubbed a bit today.

Now I’m going to run across the road to the store for some munchies since my pal and her kids are coming over for an afternoon playdate. That way we have veggies and juice and stuff to keep the kidlets happy (I really need to do a full shop, but I haven’t had the time it seems… I just keep running over as I need it).

I’m also doing lots of reading on home buying because I’m wondering if maybe I could swing to buy a condo. Maybe. Probably not, but it’s my dream to have a place of my own and a condo is about the only thing even remotely close to my current budget. Funny thing is yesterday when I was nosing around online to show my Mom some stuff I found one that would be the perfect location for us. It’s within a few block radius of my old junior high (which also has elementary), a few blocks from our old church (which I miss, the one near us now isn’t a good fit), two grocery stores, our family doctor and bank, and also not too far from my Mom’s sister. Unfortunately I think it would be slightly out of our budget (if I could swing to buy one). It’s also the style I want and looked pretty nice from the pictures.

Lots of reading and planning to do before I can even think of jumping in though.

How does anyone afford to buy a house in our market? Oh yeah, they make a shitload more than I do.

ETA: Sorry, just on my mind right now that I want a place of my own.

There are six stuffed russets in the freezer, and the 3 smallest are in the toaster oven warming for supper. The little poke roast is rotissing, and we just finished snarfing down skins with cheese and sour cream as an appetizer. Unfortunately, we didn’t have any cheddar, but we did have swiss, so my stuffing was a mixture of smashed russet guts ( ), milk, butter, swiss, and diced onions. They smell good - I’m sure they’ll taste good.

We’ll also have Eyetalian green beans as a side. And ice cream for dessert. Sounds doggone healthy, don’t it? Yum.

It sounds veeeery yummy Moooooom… so when will supper be ready?

(We’re doing homemade pizza, hawaiian, and probably ice cream or pudding for dessert).

Flutters is having a Hawaiian for dindin? That’s either very neighborly or ghastly.

MOOOOOOM personally I think Swiss cheese is just fine for baked N.O.T.. I say any cheese is.

My contribution to cleaning day was to clean up the grill. Go me.

When I get hongry, dindin will be leftover Chinese food. I got ice cream for dessert, so yay!

The swiss was just a little too mild, but the onions were a nice touch. The poke was good. The beans were good. And there’s just enough left over for my lunch tomorrow. So yum.

I should probably load the dishwasher, since the dishwasher fairy hasn’t gotten here again. Although I should build up my strength - with ice cream - ya think?

Oh at least three scoops. We wouldn’t want ya to faint and fall in the dishwasher after all.

I’d like to show you some lovely pictures of pink pants cookies, but photobucket isn’t cooperating.

That’s really all for now. I’m not feeling too great so I’m going to go climb back in bed for yet another nap.

I thought Sunday was a day of rest. I tahred…

I am going to the store now so that I don’t have to go later. I just dropped off the wedding present(s) to the mother of the bride, who looks exhausted and who can blame her? 3 kids married in less than 4 years, a new grandbaby and her mother in an Alzeimer’s unit in that time frame. I’d be under the table, keening.

I assume we have someone on deck for tomorrow??

Dishes are done. All laundry put away. Doggies crashed. Kitteh hiding or something. **FCD ** has to clean the cat box, but I’m all done with my chores. The weekend disappeared too fast, as usual.

Two more work weeks, then back to Floriduh. Pressure is mounting…

Ima go lie down. BBBobbio’s list made me tired.

gt oh keeper of MMP’s past and present, who is up tomorrow?

It’s me. I’ll probably cheat and put it up tonight before I go to bed. :stuck_out_tongue:

It won’t be cheatin’ cause no matter when you put it up it’ll already be tomorrow somewhere. It’ll give the night shift sump’n to do too.

Yay!

In other news, a corner of my ceiling just caved. Landlord isn’t answering his phone.

 Don’t stand under that corner Haze!

Well, don’t stand under that corner until at least after you post the new MMP.

It’s nice to be loved.

Seriously, wtf? And I have people coming to see the apartment tomorrow as well. Gah.

What happen Haze??? Or should I say what caused it?

Tis an omen–you are not to go back to Korea!

I only spent $156.94. I was quite proud of myself (it’s usually over $200). And then The Husband told me he spent about $200 at GFS. I stopped going to Sam’s Club because it only encouraged me to spend more money. I think GFS is the same for him…
Rather at loose ends tonight, but cannot do homework–no way. Must do some tomorrow, though.

Would one of you come and clean my house? I seem to have forgotten to put that on the list.

I have no idea. Or well, maybe I do. That particular corner was leaking all weekend, and I was planning on contacting the landlord about it eventually. And then I was sitting on the sofa, grading papers, when I heard something fall. I thought Olive had knocked something over, but it turned out the part of the ceiling that was leaking just . . . gave out I guess. The ceiling looks like it was made out of plaster and cardboard and the building is old to begin with, so I suppose I should have expected it. Luckily it’s a spot that I can easily avoid. I hope Olive has the good sense to follow suit.

ETA: rigs, funny, I was thinking it was the opposite. :stuck_out_tongue:
