dotty, maybe beebs is wearing rosie’s jewelry.
he better give it back when he’s done, is all! (and dammit, I haven’t checked the dimensional portal yet - oh well, that’ll have to wait until the weekend)
Chapter Three: In Which we hate the judges - again.
So the rest of Friday night passed without incident, other than me going thru my cash at an alarming rate. We caught the 2nd half of the quartet competition (and really, I only ever care to see my one favorite - who, it turns out, is the all time Regional Fan Favorite - they do a lot of comedy songs, and they do them very well.) The standings at the end should have clued us in to the judges inability to hear quality, but we didn’t think too much of it, we were just surprised.
There is more to this chapter, but it’ll have to wait because I am determined to get to work on time today.
I still read here kids, and I share good feelings, hugs, and prayers with you all.
But I’m going through something bad right now, so I won’t be posting as much.
Okay, who stole my jeans? I only have two pairs, and I need them.
Give them back.
We need an annotated recipe thread. I need an annotated recipe thread for that mythical day in the future when I get a new, adult-sized, refrigerator.
WHY are our (my company’s) servers running sssssllllllllloooooooooowwwwwllllllllyyyyyyy today? I have a deadline! Grrrrrrrr!
I guess I’ll just have to spend more time here.
Spaz, I was just thinking this morning that we should have some sort of Mumper’s blog with recipe reviews. We could try recipes and post them (or links to them if they’re from someone else’s website) with our reviews, or in the case of all the cookies and cakes I’ve been bringing to work, coworkers’ reviews. I’m sure it’d be fun, but I’m much too apathetic to actually start it myself. But if anyone wants to take the idea and run with it, I’m all for it!
I’m here. Feeling tired and grumpy. Nothing to add. If the sun would come out, maybe I’d feel more human? I dunno, I’m just feeling tired and grumpy. That is all.
What did Amy Tan do? (as can be seen, I would never know the difference). I am half way done with book 3 of Tales of the Otori. The medieval Japanese sure liked to cut people’s heads off. (it’s getting old, all this killing because you looked at me funny or looked at me at all stuff…). BUT, the main story line is still pretty good, so I’ll stick with it.
I should never, never wear apple green or lime green. Please remind me of this in future.
Sorry about the competition, Rosie. Maybe (like life) it’s all political?
Taxi that is a great idea!!! I would love that!
Wilton’s Butter Cream Frosting
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. crisco
1 lb. powered sugar
1 tsp. (or so) flavoring (I like almond, but you can do whatever you want or none at all.)
milk for consistency
Just add cocoa powder!
My mom took all of the Wilton cake decorating classes and does cakes for all of the family events. I can’t count how many times I’ve used this recipe. I recommend using a stand mixer if you have one. If it’s a larger cake, you’ll need to double the recipe.
Sorry for the double post, I’m responding as I read…
((((((Beebs)))))) or, if you prefer )))))Beebs(((((
call me if you want to chat about whatever it is that’s going on. We’re thinking of you here in the MMP.
It wasn’t me, I swear. My sisters used to come home for Xmas break and steal my albums and my jeans.
I have to go to the library at 11, but first, a very early lunch. I don’t get out until 2, which is far too late for lunch for me.
Oh, the chicke garlic thingie–I think an alternative to it would be do bleu cheese instead of cheddar, add onions, sea salt and maybe throw some almonds on top. Serve with potatoes (I baked biscuits) and my favorite veg: green beans.
:: runs around with Li-Li’s jeans over her head ::

rigs, Amy Tan is held in great contempt by a lot of Asian American literature scholars, because her books pander to what white people imagine Asian culture is like. She makes up a whole bunch of shit about Chinese legends and presents them as facts, and her male characters are little more than caricatures. Granted, it’s always tricky for Asian American writers because they feel burdened by the responsibility of having to represent their culture - i.e., non-Asian readers will assume they’re getting some kind of insight into what Asian American culture is “really” like.
I always feel a bit rebellious about studying Asian American literature because it’s such a stereotype (for an Asian American to study Asian American literature) but I do find it interesting nevertheless. Maybe I’ll write my own book one day - heaven knows I live out a novel every week.
snugs and smooches various people in thread I have a recipe for my mum’s amazing cream-cheese / apple / cinnamon / almond Bavarian torte, but I don’t know if it’s a family secret…
Also, I promise I will try to work barmpot, spunner, twunt, putz, shmuck, and luftmensch into the paper I have due today. It’s on John Milton and Paradise Lost, though, so I’m not sure how well that’ll work out.
Oooooo, I am sore.
My shoulder in particular. I would’ve sworn yesterday that it would be my butt. Go figure. (Because I fell on my arse yesterday for those who DNR.)

Very productive morning. I spent it plugging in flash drives, naming them, and then unplugging them. 100 and counting. My career, it is ta bomb.
You can’t tempt me with all of your nummy recipes. Nuh uh! I’mma gonna just sit hear and finish my 60 calorie Dannon yogurt! So there!
Tupug
PS. The flash drives were all named Cozumel, not something arbitrary like Bob…just in case you were wondering.
Here’s how you start the paper:
LiLi, someone’s gotten into your pants…
