He reminds me a little of that aceplace moron.
Charlie offers some men’s fashion advice… And ladies don’t try to dress your man!

That post was a goldmine of crazy.
Thats not crazy, just read the book, it explains it all. 30 year old books always contain the most up to date information regarding men’s fashion.
There is just no way in Hell this guy is anything but a troll winding us up with his “clueless old man” shtick. How else can you explain a post like this:
“Star Wars is a great film you guys! ‘May The Force Be With You!’ Remember that line?” Give me a break.
I’d like to point out that in the escort troll thread, Charlie was stepping up and defending the “lady”.
If he turns out to be a troll, I will bow my head to the finest, most world-class trolling I’ve encountered. He’s kept it going almost 4 years now with no slip-ups. He never ramps it up too much even when he hooks a live one, just steady-eddie all the way. And his posts never go for the obvious troll bait, usually catching me by surprise as a I wonder “where the fuck did he pull that comment from?” Truly masterful.
Sadly, I don’t think such a perfect troll exists. I think he’s the real deal.
He might not be a genuine troll – he really doesn’t strike me as all that bright. But as I’ve said before, I suspect he plays up the clueless old man thing a bit.
That thread was certainly over-egging the pudding, wasn’t it? Are you familiar with that expression, “over-egging the pudding”? I wasn’t either, until I looked it up on an excellent site that I would like to share with you. That site is the Urban Dictionary, and it provides many useful explanations of common phrases. If you haven’t used the Urban Dictionary, I certainly urge you to try! “Over-egging the pudding” means trying a little too hard to make something perfect. It’s something that I feel we all do often, and it is certainly a true and useful phrase. I recommend you don’t “over-egg the pudding”, I will surely try not to from now on. Also I want eggs. And pudding.
Penfeather, I gotta say you’re better at that than a guy ought to be. Perhaps *you’re *Charlie’s other inner foot-covering?
Oh my. That sounds like a very valuable tip. I will keep it in mind. Urban Dictionaries sound most intriguing.
And thank you for your post. I thought it was a very good post and I enjoyed reading it.
I hope I can keep in touch with you in future.
This is certainly my favorite part of Charlies’ post.
3) Never mix two colors unless you are certain they don’t work together.
Men should always follow that little gem. We worry far too much about our shoes matching our purse when, according to this gem, we don’t have to.
My oh my, how useful! Also, your user name is really neat - did you know that penfeathers, or “quills,” were used to write the vast majority of medieval manuscripts, for example the Magna Carta and the Declaration of Independence? Today they are still used today mainly by professional scribes and calligraphers! I found this information by looking at the website http://www.wikipedia.com - it’s like an online encyclopedia where you can look up things like that.
Sweet! We’ve got our own in-house version of the ‘Bulwer-Lytton Fiction Contest’ (wiki) going on.
And meanwhile in the other current threads Charlie is involved in, he posts along serenely; blissfully unaware of or perhaps deliberately ignoring our efforts in his direction.
Gah!
You guys are way too good at that. So much so that I’m getting PTSD flashbacks about last season’s The Americans thread. (New season next week! Come for 500 posts discussing the season, plus 37,000 Charlie Wayne posts shitting all over everything.)
Never thought Really Not All That Bright would get under his skin.
Compared to Chuckie’s latest post in the men’s clothing thread:
It’s eerie I tell you. ![]()
The Charlies are multiplyin’ I tells ya!
Have you heard of this really nice place called Bo’s quarry? I just discovered it and I’d like to share it with all of you. It’s filled with many wonderful stones…
I really can’t do it to you’ll. I’ll quit while I’m ahead.
