This being the second opportunity of the year to get cheap chawklit (the first being the day after Valentine’s day) let’s share our favorite chawklit. Not share as in let anyone else have any - share as in information. After all, we’re all friends here, but there are limits.
As for me, once upon a time, Lindt made an amaretto truffle that I absolutely lurved!! Then they stopped making it. Dammit. But my friendship can be bought with a Dove bar or some Godivas. I’m not unreasonable. Just spare me the waxy, cheap, foil-wrapped brown things that some people dump into Easter baskets. ick.
First to comment other than the OP! It’s good to be juvenile!
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 58 Amurrkin out and clear with a predicted high of 84 and mostly N.O.S. for the day. We are awaitin’ a visit from Hospice this mornin’ as well as someone to look at the a/c which has decided to go all wonky. Also I get to go grocery shoppin’. WOOHOO!
I like chawklit. All kinds of chawklit. Even cheap chawklit.
More for me, then.
There was no new MMP up when I looked earlier but I didn’t have a topic & I started the last one so I wanted to share the love…but obviously not with a certain Merrylander.
Need to rearrange my garage to make more room for the new car. And figure out all the electronics that are now part and parcel of all new vehicles (like programming a computer, which upon reflection, I guess it is).
As for chocolate, I’m like Spidey (shudder) in that I do not have a discriminating taste for it, Hershery’s kisses are just as fine with me as the finest stuff. And I do not keep chocolate Ice Cream in the house, since (1) It wouldn’t last long and (2) I’m am trying to eat moderately healthy.
Rain predicted for the next three days, then I take off for Washingtoon for my combined 64th B-Day/March for Science mini-vacation.
ETA: Just read last’s nights stuff: Hope Mom-unit is doing well, Baker
As for me, life’s too short to eat nasty, pseudo-chawklit!
Boss isn’t coming in today - it’s his kids’ last day of spring break. I sure hope some of the others have work for me - my in-basked is devoid of tasking.
Mom is sedated and asleep. Hopefully someone from Hospice will be here soon to make sure we have everything right. Other than that, just another day of wait and see.
I got a decent night’s sleep again. This is a habit I can get into.
I have a miffed cat. He was being such a pest about treats than I gave him what was left, dumped the jar into the middle of the floor, and I’m not buying anymore. That’s it, I’m done, because if he wasn’t sleeping he was pestering me for treats non-stop.
He started again this morning so I picked up the jar, you should have seen the excitement in his little face, and then I showed him it was empty. I feel like such a meanie but he will have to get used to it. I’m not a pez dispenser.
I got Sah-son’s taxes done this morning. I don’t even know why he needs to file, he doesn’t owe anything and isn’t owed anything. He doesn’t even have to file a state return.
I’m going to finish mine today and we can go to the post office to mail them tomorrow. I found a second PO near the grocery store and it is much easier to access then the one in town. In town you have to parallel park, if there is a spot out front to park in, and then get out and run up to the mailbox. If traffic is heavy it’s a bitch to park and to get back out. The PO by the grocery store has a drive thru lane.
Going to be a busy day today. I have a lot to do. Some laundry, especially the stinky dog bed, order groceries, order some vitamins. I want to send a thank you gift to the Baha’i people who spent a lot of time with us yesterday answering questions. They were very nice and patient with us. I’m not sure what to send. I looked at Sherri’s Berries and Edible Arrangements, but I’m going to check out a few other sites before making up my mind.
I like chocolate, I think Godiva is the best. I’m not too fond of the cheap stuff but I’ll eat it if there is nothing else around.
The local grocery store had a very small selection of Easter candy so I’m not even bothering to stop today. They didn’t even any jelly beans! I like chocolate of course, with my fave being Reese P-butter Cups. My sister gave me a RPB bunny yesterday. I ate the ears and I must say (best Ed Grimley voice) there was TOO MUCH CHOCOLATE and not enough peanut butter.
Truthfully I prefer cookies to candy but will eat both. I also like Kit Kats, plain M&Ms, and Hershey’s chocolate bar with almonds.
It’s been a boringly busy morning. I’m having to change fonts on label panels. It’s not difficult at all, but it’s tedious! I have to do each one separately - so if there are 20 text entries on a label, I do 20 edits. That’s the joy of CAD vs. a Word doc.
It all pays the same.
My afternoon will consist of more font editing. Oh, be still my heart!
My mom usually gets a big bunny for everyone who comes to Easter dinner, but this year, she got creative. I came home with a chocolate whale and spousal unit has a chocolate dog that looks an awful lot like a pug! There were bunnies, of course, and a monkey and a horse and a chicken.
Anyway, I can’t bite the head off the whale, but I can nom his flukes!
Meatloaf is cooking away for supper. Sides will be corn and carrots. Hope my sweetie gets home soon - he’s had a *looooooooong *day!! He left before I did and he was still at the office when I got home. Poor baby.
A little while ago mom told me she needed to get up and get dressed so she can go get her hair done. I’ve always said she’d get up off her death bed to get her hair done. I was right! A little morbid mayhaps but it was a day brightener for me.
