It’s been a few years since I’ve looked into web hosting, so I was hoping some of you may be able to point me toward a good web-hosting place… I’m looking for it to only be temporary, storing only a demo version of my site, so I won’t need much bandwidth, nor webspace (maybe a hundred megs-ish, if that).
Any suggestions? Ideally would like to keep this $10 or less a month
I’ve been happy with JodoHost for several years. Their cheapest Linux hosting at $4.95 per month would probably suit you. I’m just a happy customer but I believe they are a level above the thousands of similarly price low cost hosts that a quick Google search will reveal.
Tigertech starts at only $6.95 per month, and includes the domain name as well! No contracts, no minimum, when you’re done, just notify them and they will refund any unused funds you have on the books.
Used them for years. Highly recommend them.

You can look into Chime Host. They offer unlimited space and unlimited bandwidth and so far they have been good with uptime and support. I think they still have a special going on that will cost you only $4.95 per month without any yearly contracts.
Godaddy has been very fair to me compared to other companies, although they will nickel & dime you to death if you aren’t careful.
I use a LOT of bandwidth and storage for mega-video files, and they haven’t complained. Other companies sometimes start to bug you if you use more than 20% of what you are paying for.
