Cheapest way to ship prizes (postal baggies?)

Hi there… I’ve read a lot here and decided to post since I’ve now had a question I simply could not find an answer to on my own.

My service gives away prizes over the net. We need to mail lots of these prizes out to the winners. I want to use those little postal bags (you know, like the ones you get your cereal-box mail-aways in), but I don’t know where to find them! Further, I think they are heat-sealed, and I don’t know where to get the machine to do it!

Where do you get this stuff? I tried looking at OfficeMax.com and Staples. They have nothing but envelopes, which can be too expensive. If anyone can help me out, I’d really appreciate it. The prizes are small, thus the baggie-size request.

Or, if anyone just has a suggestion for cheap bulk envelope mailing (if we don’t use the bags), let me know.

Thanks to anyone who can point us in the right direction.

Malcolm

If you are talking major volume, call your post office and talk to the sales rep. They can provide some stuff, and give you info on how to package your stuff to get the best rates. Try Tyvek envelopes. They are super strong and won’t rip, but offer NO padding, if your prizes are at all fragile.
