Per Wikipedia, Cheetos were introduced in 1948. They’ve been a part of our lives since early childhood.

I avoid chips in my regular diet. Once in awhile I’ll indulge in a small bag of Ruffles or Cheetos. Six bags a year isn’t too bad.

I don’t remember Crunchy Cheetos being so messy. Orange fingers are part of the experience. But that stuff was caked on my fingers today. I was in my car and had to use three baby wipes to get my fingers clean. Puffs are a little less messy.

Flaming Hot :fire: is a newer option. I don’t remember them on shelves before the 1990’s.

Crunchy; anything else leaves me thinking, aw, I could’ve gotten real Cheetos.

 Same here. Crunchy is the sound of my childhood. My lunchbox usually had a bag with my sandwich and soda.

I am not a huge fan, but when I eat them, it has to be the Crunchy. Flaming hot anything (in the way of food, that is!) is something I hate.

My wife likes the White Cheddar variety. She is wrong.

There’s a movie about them.

It’s not bad.

Normally I’m not a fan of any except the white cheddar puffs. But just today I tried the mildly spicy Elotes flavor, and I’m a fan. They’re the crunchy kind, too.

None of the above—the best flavor is Jalapeño Cheddar. I also like Old Bay cheese puffs, but I don’t think Cheetos has that flavor.

D’oh, I forgot about the White Cheddar Cheetos.

I don’t notice them on shelves very often.

Chip snacks have recently introduced a lot of new flavors. Probably trying to maximize sales.

I haven’t eaten this kind of crap in years. But I always tell myself, if I got some really bad news at the doctor’s office, I’d stop and buy me some Cheetos and cigarettes.

The lil’wrekker brought home a bag of cinnamon sugar ones. I nearly died just looking at them.

She said she would NOT be buying more.
I took that to mean they were really bad.

I couldn’t decide between puffs and crunchy, but I finally voted puffs simply because they’re a little less messy. I’ve never had the Flaming Hot Cheetos. Are they so hot, you can’t taste the cheese flavor?

The lil’wrekker loves the flamin’ hot ones. I asked her how they taste and did the Cheeto flavor come through? She said “No, hot is all that comes through!”

ETA: I eat snacks vicariously.

This.

The modern flavor extensions are abominations.

I have mostly eliminated processed foods from my diet, but once in a while - maybe every 6-10 weeks - I indulge in a bag of salty crispy snack food. Interestingly, I have lost my taste entirely for Fritos and Doritos, and while I still like Ruffles potato chips and Bugles, I don’t enjoy them as much as I used to.

But crunchy Cheetos? Ah, those remain utterly delicious.

Tastes great!

Less filling!

Oh wait…

For me, crunchy. Like many others.

I don’t eat such garbage anymore…no wait, I won’tbuy such garbage anymore more, but I’ll eat it if it’s there. But I prefers puffs and the way they dissolve in your mouth.

And baby wipes to remove the residue from your fingers? What a waste of baby wipes and delicious residue! Finger lickin’ good, says I!

The hot ones are actually kind of surprisingly hot. They add up with continued munching, too.

I don’t eat them anywhere near as often as I used to, but when I do it is always crunchy. When I was a kid, I preferred puffs but haven’t had one in decades. I don’t eat hot (or even medium) anything.

Psst: Fritos makes a BBQ version that I’m pretty sure should be illegal. Yeah, I haven’t necessarily lost the taste for Doritos, but anything processed makes me feel pretty ill. There is no doubt a craving for salty snacks so I try to use home cooked popcorn as a substitute. This works pretty well if I’m careful to steer away from industrial oils.

:joy: also it’d be the right time for a roller sausage, a Red Bull and something from the big jar of pickled edibles :face_holding_back_tears:
