ChiDope Lunch Bunch?

What the motherfuck. Stupid rain means no bikey for me. Guess I’ll be cabbing it there.

Wel, apparently I cannot escape fromt he stupid teleconference. And I was so looking forward to a little glow with my pizza…so unless the Managing Partner has a change of heart (difficult, because lately he has no heart), y’all will just have to rescue Gundy from any interlopers for me.

Whoo baby, was that a wild time at lunch.

I never had anything like THAT happen to me in a public place before.

Will be a tough act to repeat, but I feel we’re obligated to give it a try.

Next time - Greektown. Opah!

Yeah, it was great! Remind me to take up a collection to replace that table we broke. Who knew it wouldn’t support four supine people?! It’s getting damn hard to find a quality table these days.

Damn you all! Instead of some hot supine pre-Greek action, I got to hear a stiffeningly boring lecture on a proposed alien labor certification program which may obe impleemnted sometime towrd the end of the year, or may never be implemented at all, or may be implemented with so many amendments as to be virtually unrecognizable.

And it was over (at least, the good part…and lord knows there was no warmup) within 20 minutes. You guys better last longer than that!

Twenty minutes? Pshaw. At the twenty-minute mark, we hadn’t even warmed up the baby oil or even touched the shoe tree.

But there was a midget with a pickle. Don’t ask.

And the clown shoes. Ohhh, the clown shoes. I gotta get me some of those.

Dammit, I have a big bruise on my ass, Zanshin.

Greektown sounds good for next time. Any restaurant in particular? For those who might be El-ing it from the Loop, it’s the Halsted/UIC stop on the Blue Line. Free valet parking, too. BTW, Greektown might be fun for a Friday happy hour at some point, too.

How about Thursday, July 21st for the next lunch?

So far so good for me. And this time, I’ll limber up beforehand to avoid muscles cramping up on me at inconvenient times.

The 21st it is. I’m not sore or cramped at all, it’s just a pain trying to wash off the chocolate syrup and chicken feathers.

Not fair! Why should the four of you have all the fun?

And **Zanshin, ** so did you find a way around your company’s Internet filter or something? And if so, does it work for, ahem, other purposes?

Uh - hate to be petty, but did we switch back to a different calendar system or somesuch?

My cheesy government-issue calendar says July 21st is a Monday.

And that was a pickle? That explains why your butthole tasted so briney.

OH SWEET JESUS. I can’t stop laughing.

I can’t decide whether I missed out or not, based on all this talk about pickles and ass-bruising.

Dinsdale, ya ass, quit being so literal.

Howz about Thursday, July 24th?

[bump]

Are we still on? I think Gundy is in need of a toast (or several), don’t y’all?

I’m up for Thursday if y’all are.

And Eva, for whatever reason, I now have the ability to surf at work again. Everyone else in my office is still blocked, but I’m not. I have no idea why but I’m not going to look a gift T1 in the mouth.

::chanting:: Greektown…Greektown…Greektown…

I could sure go for some tall, swarthy, and handsome. Plus I love Greek food. The hard part would be convincing myself to go back to the office afterward.

Anyone know which of the Greektown places does a quick in-and-out nooner, ummm, I mean, lunch? I’ve only been there for dinner, but am fond of Greek Islands, Pegasus, and/or Santorini.

Greektown, yay! Greektown close to office and yummy. Can anyone else provide recommendations for good lunchy spots? If not, heck, let’s pick one of Eva’s recommendations and go from there.
