It happens more often then you might realize. Perhaps not on the straight dope, as most of the people who post here are more mature then on other boards, but it does occur.
As a matter of fact, it’s happened to me-granted not for very long. It’s more irritating then anything else.

It’s my impression that the Poster Whose Name I Will Not Utter is the one who “starts” these things by responding to EVERY topic with some tortuously veiled paraphrase of “government equals coercion.” I admire Demo’s forbearance for being far more patient and polite than the former deserves.

Clearly, despite one poster’s best efforts, you haven’t come to appreciate the benefits of a wildly impractical, well-nigh-disastrous-if-actually-implemented philosophy. All he can do is keep trying to get you to come towards the light. Resistance is futile!

Lib, I find it hilarious that you actually need to defend yourself. So far in this thread it seems its all about what you can do to ameliorate this ugly situation.
You know I’ve commented on his stalking and harrassment before. For the likes of me I can’t understand why everyone doesn’t just focus on him. If I were a mod he’d be the first to go. The guy is a supreme jerk. He’s very clever. He only harrasses specific individuals with a view that is contrary to the majority. You are his number #1 target because you represent your views so impeccably. You need to be commended for your patience my friend. The fact that even now you alone are seeking ways to alleviate the suffering of your fellow posters in the face of his spurious and vicious attacks speaks volumes.
