Chores you Abhor – an MMP about household responsibilities

Yes, I get a lot of Zep products comped from a friend who’s a regional sales rep. (But isn’t it “Tile and Grout” that you’re talking about?)

The Zep line that I recommend:

–Zep Tile and Grout (prop 65) (showers, tiles)
–Zep Ringmaster (toilets)
–Lemonex (prop 65) (cheap, undiluted disinfectant–amonium choloride–that you can dilute to your desired strength, and use on anything)
–Zep X-it-Out (for really bad carpet stains)
–Zep Break-Away (for regular carpet stains, but actually is amazing for pre-treating stains in clothes)

AND THE BEST for bathroom & kitchen surfaces:

Zep 30 (bathroom and kitchen surfaces) &
Zep Venture II (bathroom, showers)

These last two are meant for hospitals, and they both are heavy-duty anti-virals, anti-bacterials, and anti-fungals. They kick ass.

Crazy day, and I didn’t get to read the whole thread, but I got this far and had to say, it is for me!!

I hadn’t ventured in here yet, mainly because there are -so many- chores that I abhor, and I am ashamed to admit to it as well. Heh. Scrubbing the toilet is right up there, though, along with the tub, mostly because I just can’t bend over/stoop to do it any longer. I’m so glad to see there are products that are strong enough to clean, though, so thank you so much for sharing their names, Gotti and others! The water here seems to be especially “hard,” so any that will work on stuff like CLR (calcium/lime/rust?) are definitely what is needed.

Been a nice three-day weekend. I go to the eye doctor tomorrow for follow up to my cataract surgery and to have my eyes newly measured. I definitely want the other eye done, so that will hopefully happen in a month or two. You know, FCM, even after the surgery, I still have problems with glare at dusk and dawn.

Well, after the appointments tomorrow it’s back to work. I’m just hoping that the snow/sleet/freezing rain predicted will be minimal!! Have a good evening - one down, four to go!

Home from Indyanner.

Fred’s son told Fred we’re moving, and Fred is not happy. We have not had time to tell him in person.

I don’t abhor the chores as much as the time wasted doing them.

I used to hate doing dishes, but having a dishwasher has taken care of that one. I guess cleaning the shower is my least favorite, just because it’s awkward. I’ll have to ponder which one my favorite is.

Glad you’re home safely, Bobbio.

I’ve had a very nice day. Went to the conservatory again, this time with camera in hand. Sat and read for an hour or so (book group is this week). Then went to a nearby theater to see The King’s Speech. Cool movie. Ran some errands after the movie: thumb drive from Staples, shoe laces, non-slip thingies for some shoes that I have at work, and a pair of tennies (my favorites were on sale for $39, down from $99).

Now it’s back to my book, I think.

Hugs.

I don’t hate cleaning, but I get slack when I work a lot. It doesn’t help that the dogs are lazy, filthy pigs.

Welcome home, BBBobbio!

Lacunae Matata, I like the idea. I’d love a house that’s all concrete and tile on the inside with a timed sprinkler system to wash it(bonus: dogs get baths at the same time).

I hate cleaning blood and brain matter off the walls and out of the carpet.
And patching the bullet holes is a pain too!

Seriously, I dislike almost all chores except cooking and washing dishes. I do them, but I don’t like them.

Question: How is it that I, as a man, am expected to do ‘my share’ of the household chores, but almost all outside stuff, lawnmowing, cleaning gutters, etc, is strictly ‘man’s work’?

Making licorice soap tonight, 'cause some people have been begging for it.

You know, after I pushed ‘post’, it occured to me that some people might not share my macabre sense of humor.
To those people, I apologize.

Home from men’s night. Good company, good food, good beer! Tomorrow is back to irk. Da bear shall now go lie upon the bed and watch teevee for a little bit before goin’ sleepy bye.

Nitey Nite Y’all!
NOTE TO SELF: Check out ZEP products.

ETA: AWWWWWW… Bumba we know it’s just you!

Dude, this is why you shoot the zombies outside the house.

Non-skid booties would be a total winner if said pup didn’t need to go outside multiple times a day, where they’d pick up all manner of mud, etc. unless they were removed first … anyone ever teach a large dog to use the bathroom? :stuck_out_tongue:

Thoughts of installing floor surfaces in the same color as red Carolina mud come to mind …

On the plus side, once all the work was done, the husband commented on how much better the kitchen looks with the rugs all clean and fluffy , so that’s something anyway!

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. YAWN It’s back to irk today. I get to spend time once again at East Albeeeny Medical Center. Hey, it pays, right?

I have a big pot of beef veggie soup ready to slow cook all day. It’s not especially cold out but dreary and drizzly so soup sounds good. Thus, soup and cornbread for dindin. YUM!

Right now, rumbly tummy demands to be fed and da bear needs more caffiene. Thus I shall feed and caffienate myself. Then irk purtification shall commence.

Happy Tuesday Y’all!

A propos of nothing, something I remembered from my conversation with Mom last Friday (nothing like two hours on the phone discussing mainly your grandmother’s intestinal troubles, specially when you’re coming down with a mild case of gastritis yourself):

Mom: … “blahblah rivers always flow south///”
Me interrupting: “like the Ebro you mean? And Duero, Tajo, Júcar, Segura and all their southern-side tributaries? And, let’s see, those little ones Rhein and Danube and that other obscure one, the Nile?”
Mom: … “:smack: oh my. Oh God, the whole northern shore of Spain too… OK, now where did that brainfart come from… ehrm… where was I before I started talking stupid?”

I would have felt proud of myself if I hadn’t been busy feeling queasy.

Up…at 'em.

Happy [del]Monday[/del] Tuesday!

Hugs.

Up, caffeinated, off ot irk. Hockey tonight.

Here. Sore. Sleepy. Lost pronouns.

I’m almost 32 weeks pregnant and the baby has dislocated one of my ribs. I decided I’m not mopping the kitchen floor again till after I deliver. That is all.

Please will them not to suck tonight, eh?

This job’s bosses are comparatively sane, but there isn’t one of them who can give full instructions. Oh well. Keeps the email squirrels busy…

Howdy Y’all! Sneakin’ in a post from the loverly East Albeeeeny Medical Center. Yeehaw!

Nava I say if you have squirrels on the payroll, keep 'em busy!

So how’s everybody else’s day goin’?
