Chores you enjoy due to the equipment involved

Mrs. Morbo has only recently learned, due to a slip on my part, that I really enjoy using the leaf blower. For years I had scored points off of my willingness to do this chore with her being none the wiser. There’s other chores that I don’t really like at all, regardless of the gadgets involved. For example, I abhor the vacuum (heh).

What are your chores that you enjoy simply b/c of the equipment involved?

For me it would have to be the hedge trimmer. I find myself watching for the bushes to grow a bit so I can use it again. A bit sad really.

I love to vacuum. I’ve got a Shark.

Pressure washer now that’s fun. I don’t mind the vacuum only 'cause I play with the dog with it.

Hauling stuff to the dump. I got a 4WD Toyota Tundra last year, Call me and I’ll haul it. I’d be even more popular out east; here down south, seems like everyone has a pickup. Just not as nice as mine

Mowing the lawn and plowing the drive, both with a lawn tractor.

Trailering to the dump.

Just about anything that involves an angle grinder or an impact driver with sockets.

Pressure washing.

Chain sawing and hydraulic wood splitting.

Count me in for mowing with the lawn tractor and using the pressure washer. Both are tons o’ fun!

Anything I can do with the Dremel. It’s like a super-power, that thing.

I’m addicted to buying bits for my Dremel.

Watering the garden – have loved playing with the garden hose since I was a kid.

Dusting with Swiffers.

We have a sweeper/bagger attachment for the lawn tractor, and it’s used every day as soon as the leaves start falling. Sometimes twice a day, like today. Sometimes on the neighbor’s yard too.

Pressure washing for sure. It’s got the fun of barely-contained violence paired with the satisfaction of noticeable progress. Pushes my buttons, it does.

I love snow blowing. Watching the snow fly out of the machine is just … Fun.

Vacuuming with my Dyson Vacuum “Animal.” I’m always amazed at how much cat hair it sucks up. And I’m just as amazed at how quickly new hair is shed.

And the dehumidifier in the basement. It holds 1 gallon, and has to be emptied every day or it spills over.

Hanging pictures, curtains, etc. anything where i can drill a guide hole first.

I love using my staple gun.
In the kitchen: I love using my immersion blender.

Immersion blender here too. Great for making body creams (Hate to cook tho).

I have a small city yard and love my quiet green Neuton battery mower.

Got to talk about my new plow truck… Replaced a 30 year old Chevy that I loved dearly.

Anyway. The new truck is an '04 Dodge 1500 short bed regular cab. Hemi. Great, great shape and very comfy. First thing I did was put new [tires]( http://www.nittotire.com/Tire/trailgrapplertires on it) on it.

Then I put a new Western Plow on it. The 10,000 lb. Warn winch will be put on the back in a few weeks. Going to put some additional back up lights on it too.

All I need to figure out is what music to play while I’m plowing our drive and road.

As a kid, I practically begged to wax the wood floors because I wanted to run the electric buffer.

I like using the laminating machine at work, but mostly because of unintended uses. Can you laminate an envelope? As it turns out, yes you can. Opening it, on the other hand…

I love operating a skidsteer. (aka Bobcat) I don’t think I’d enjoy making a living with one, but when I have an excuse to rent one it’s a whole damn barrel of monkeys.
