Chris Rock is the black nostradamus

Per Fark.com: This is from 1997 or thereabouts.

Wow.

Does that mean Negrodamus from The Chappelle Show is out of work?

Funny clip, though.

1997? Fuckin hell, that’s amazing.

Wow…

For those of us who can’t download the video, could you give us a rundown of what Chris Rock said?

He’s giving a tour of backstage at his studio, and he pulls out a videocassette entitled “I Didn’t Kill My Wife! But If I Did, Here’s How I’d Do It”.

Crap. Obviously I meant to add that O.J. Simpson is on the cover of the tape.

It’s an intro clip for the first episode of The Chris Rock Show which used to be on HBO, I think.

He takes the camera on a tour of the backstage area of the studio where he shows many visual jokes. It ends with, “Oh, who can forget the night OJ Simpson came by to sell his new instructional videotape? I Didn’t Kill My Wife, But if I Did, Here’s How I’d Do It.”

I’m confused and dumm. Didn’t the murder happen in 1994?

Yeah (on my seventeenth birthday!) but the book OJ wrote that was almost of the same name didn’t come out until around now.

Ooooooooooh. I’m pop-culturally challenged. Thanks.

Actually, both the book and television deal have since been cancelled, but that was indeed the title.

Well, close. The now-cancelled book was titled:
If I Did It.

Not to be confused with the P.K. Winsome book:
If I Did It.
