Christie endorses Trump

Difference is, the hard right makes up a much larger percentage of the GOP electorate than the pre-DLC hard left did of Democrats.

My understanding is that Christie’s endorsement was less about Trump and more of a “Fuck You” to Rubio. Apparently Rubio, left Christie a message after Christie dropped out, wishing him a good life after politics, or something to that affect. So after Rubio had sort of an okay performance in the last debate, Christie decided to steal his thunder by announcing the endorsement of Trump the next day, so that the news cycle would be focused on that as opposed to Rubio’s debate performance.

Often? Care to give an example from before 2008?

In a hot mic moment, Trump told Christie to leave the stage and go home.

I agree that Christie would be a great VP choice for Trump. Their personalities are somewhat similar; Christie would provide much credibility. Those thinking him a poor choice: Who do you think Trump should pick? (Restrict the choice to someone suitable to partner Trump and who would accept.)

For Clinton to pick Warren would be daring! I’d recommend against it however: Many males already looking for an excuse to vote against a woman would find the idea of two women unacceptable. And, while not quite as old as Hillary, Warren is no spring chicken.

There are several younger Veep possibilities Hillary can choose from.

Why does that make it a good choice? ISTM the opposite. Obama&Biden, Bush&Cheney, and Clinton&Gore didn’t have similar personalities.

Clinton and Gore were seen as similar, and breaking the tradition of “balancing” the ticket.

Stop it, you’re almost making me like the guy.

Hahahaha. Christie endorsed Trump on Friday. Still together on Saturday, and at the airport because Christie is scheduled to return home via Trump’s private plane. Trump needs to have his private plane returned ASAP in order for Trump to continue his campaign. If Christie doesn’t leave on time, Trump will have to wait longer for his plane to return. This isn’t rocket surgery. This is another desperate attempt to take bits and pieces of a conversation out of context. SSDD.

You do realize that you just tried to argue “Trump isn’t an asshole,” which is not credible on its face.

Have to agree there. Even Trump supporters know he’s an asshole, they just want him to be our asshole.

A few minutes on stage wouldn’t have made a difference. Trump was very abrupt with him and Christie, who has a reputation of taking shit from no one, fell right into line. I find it funny. Sorry if you don’t.

I do realize that you seem to have no idea what I said.

Do you often enjoy statements taken out of context?

You should be sorry. I find the whole situation to be absolutely hysterical. Trump gave Christie two days face time and loaned him his personal plane to return home. How dare Trump be so cruel. :stuck_out_tongue:

The Democrat collective is only proving to be more and more desperate to spin facts and invent insults. What a hoot.

I really hope you’re still here after the election. Should be lots of fun doing the post-mortem!

Well, he was sucking-it-up in Jerry Jones box at the Cowboys stadium. . . he’s a born suck-up. The governor of New Jersey partying with Jerry Jones! That was disgusting.

Big, fluffy, buttery, and cream-filled dreams…

BTW, Democrats cheering a Trump nomination should be careful. That could have consequences that are even more a nightmare for Democrats than for Republicans. Especially liberal Democrats, if a Trump Presidency becomes the realigning event I think it could be. A Democratic Party that sees millions of small government conservatives up for grabs will chuck the progressives in a heartbeat.

If a Trump Presidency becomes a reality, watch for a huge brain drain from America.

Small government conservatives (if there even is such a thing) haven’t had a party for them in ages. Why would they suddenly realize that now?
