freckafree, it did arrive in time, it did!! I’m so sorry I didn’t post yesterday when it got here, but I am suffering from a miserable cold and I was worried I wouldn’t sound grateful enough.
I feel so very lucky to have been your giftee two years running! I’m sorry you had the same wish list to go by both years, but you did an amazing job of getting me just what I wanted both times with no repeats. This year I received some wonderful-smelling lilac body butter (seriously YUM), a lovely green jewelry bag, gorgeous silver earrings with blue and green accents, a HUGE bag of chocolate, and some real Ohio maple syrup. You really made my day!! Thank you so very much!
I hope you’re all having a wonderful Christmas day.
YAY! I’m glad it squeaked in under the Christmas wire. And I hope you’re feeling better! Being sick on Christmas sucks.
I hope you are accustomed to eating teeny-weeny pancakes, because that’s about all that ridiculously teeny-weeny jug of maple syrup can handle! I couldn’t resist it, though.
hocow, I just opened my gift! Thank you so much! My son and husband are fighting over the coal candy. But guess what? They’re not going to get any. (Oh, all right! I’ll share.)
The little ceramic Christmas kittehs are the cutest EVAR! They look handpainted. Did you make them,** hocow**?
I’m very happy that you like your gifts! I am not very crafty (unfortunately), they were bought at a local farmer’s market. The coal candy is a nod to my hometown, as I live in the heart of the coal region.
faithfool I’m so glad you like it. May it keep your room scented with the lights peeking through, then I hope you have lots of great flowers for the vase. I’m just so very glad it got there by Christmas.
Thanks! South Bend Chocolates. Chocolate is always good but those are particularly yummy.
I’m getting concerned about mine. It was going a long way but it shouldn’t have taken this long. I hope it’s not lost.
Oh, I’m so glad you like them! You said you weren’t crafty but liked crafty things - those are hand-painted from a Sioux craftsman, on hand-carved bone.
You also said that you liked things unique to the gifter’s hometown, and I picked those up at the Denver March Pow-Wow this year, thinking that they would make a great gift for someone, but I hadn’t found anyone yet until your post
(I haven’t received anything in the exchange yet, but I’m hopeful)
I received my gift today from the Kingdom of Bahrain! I was a little apprehensive about getting a package with Arabic written all over it, but was more than compensated by my friends’ being impressed that I got a package from a kingdom!
I got an environmentally friendly Bahrain fridge magnet, a Bahrain keychain, and a piggy bank in the shape of an Arab with mirrored sunglasses and bling!
Thanks, Dottygumdrop! Watch your mail for a thank-you note! Before today, I knew very little about the Kingdom of Bahrain, now I am inspired to learn more.
