Thank you, Sticks and Scones! Rothenburg is a beautiful city any time of the year, but especially in the Winter!

Also, if you ever get a chance to visit, you can leave your rental parked and walk anywhere you’d like to go.

Sorry to sound like a tour guide, but it would be such a pleasure to show any of y’all around, and not only in the tourist section!

One of the unknown facts about Rothenburg is that a lot of it was destroyed in WWII, not because it was any kind of a military target, but but because the Allies needed to drop some weight (bombs) in order to save fuel.

I could talk to y’all as long per day about Rothenburg ob der Tauber as I can about Beethoven and his life, so I guess I’ll shut up for now! :slight_smile:

I like that one a lot, Kemanchi! I have a strong affinity for winter scenes with the “loneliness” of a tree or two and nothing else in sight. I have very rarely seen a picture like that which didn’t appeal to me.

I look forward to seeing a scene like that when you get comfortable enough to share it with me/us!
