Okay, now, three things.
First, personally I think Jally’s cute, and I think y’all should knock it off a bit, okay?
Second, so she’s a little bit obsessive on a couple of subjects, so BFD, ya know? Dare I mention the names of some other posters who are similarly Obsessed by Certain Topics? Being quietly obsessive about kitchen appliances and homemade MB fixes isn’t nearly as unpleasant as being loudly obsessive about circumcision, or the Bush/Gore election, or vegetarianism, or gun control, or the genetic basis of race, or fat people, or penis size, or “My Personal Life, Chapter 1,455,234”. Sure, we tell those people to “get a life”, and we can tell Jally to “get a life”, too, but the difference is, I think we’re starting to cross over the line from simply advising her to get a life to crossly picking on her every time she opens her mouth.
And yes, I know she opened this Pit thread, but come on, is this or isn’t this one of the lamest mod-bashing Pit OPs you’ve ever seen? So c’mon, guys, put away the long knives, you’re shootin’ ducks in a barrel [mixed metaphor alert].
Third, and to my mind the most important, I will point out, in the interest of fairness, that so far I haven’t seen Word One from Jallikins about charging anything for this MB fix that she keeps posting links to.
Not only that, but I haven’t even seen where it’s her software. The page itself says nothing. Where’d it come from? Nobody knows.
So it’s not necessarily “her” crapware, it’s just “someone’s” crapware, and I don’t think it’s fair to blame her for it.
So why don’t we give her a chance? If every time she opens her mouth, people trash her, she’s never gonna learn anything. I could mention some names, you know, people, of posters who were written off almost immediately by the Teeming Millions as Total Losses but who eventually turned out to be card-carryin’ Real Dopers.

But Duckster, every post of hers that I’ve seen (not all of them, of course but…) breaks down into one (or more) of five catagories:
- The crapware I like would be better than what you have!
- You are all liner thinkers, sodomites and or communists. Some of you may be men. In any event, you’re going to REGRET how you treated me!
- I like cabinets. MmmmMmmmMMMM cabinets!
- Mods suck and may be communists.
- I don’t understand where to post.
The OP for example is #1, #2, and #4 (with a hint of #5 since she’s ranting about the fact that an advert. (thinly disguised as a question) about her(I’m assuming it’s hers until she says otherwise. I’ve yet to find it advertised or being used anywhere else) Crapware[sup]tm[/sup] was posted in GQ instead of MPSIMS or IMHO. )
If she starts posting stuff that doesn’t fall into one of those catagories and if she posts it in the right place I suspect that she won’t have this problem.
