Sure, many valuable contributors here came in with a chip on their shoulders and a closed mind. But the ones who stayed demonstrated either a willingness to learn or a respect for those who disagreed. In over a year, jally has demonstrated neither, and she won’t just leave us alone.
So I say, riding her out of town on a rail ain’t the prettiest mode of transportation, but at least it’s effective.

Yeah, but Sua, you can’t ride her out of town on a rail if she won’t get on the rail in the first place, by which I mean that she seems fairly impervious to criticism, and likely not only to ignore the occasional dropped hints to go away, but also to ignore the entire community standing at her front door with lit torches, banging on pots and pans and shouting in unison “go away, go away”.
I also don’t think that she’s really been “posting here” ever since her registration date–seems to me that she went away for a long time and has only just come back. No?

In all fairness Duck Duck, I’ve only been here since December, but seems to me NOBODY ever takes the hint to go away. I’ve never ever seen a pit thread where 6,000 posters and their torches resulted in an annoying poster abandoning ship.
I don’t think anyone honestly believes this pileon will result in jally’s leaving, and at this point, i don’t think anyone cares. Sometimes we all just vent frustration.

Well, in one example, Brian Bunnyhurt hasn’t posted in about three months, and I for one have a happy about that. Whether that’s because he finally got the hint that he was a loon, or whether that’s because he decided that we were all uneducable Jebus freaks, I don’t know, and I don’t care.

Year after year, we cut funding for the congnitively dysfunctional. And yet we are shocked - shocked when one of these pathetic creatures stumbles into our midst. We try to be understanding when Great-Aunt Hortense empties her colostomy bag into the punch bowl, where is that understanding for Jally, adding his thoughts to the Pit?

The point I think most are missing here is that jally actually put the OP in the right forum. She did that all by herself with no help. That deserves some form of enthused positive feedback, like you give your puppy when it goes in the appropriate spot in the yard.
But instead, you’ve all been yelling. This doesn’t bode well for clean carpets.
However, I don’t see where she’s been banned, so she could still come back. Party if you must, but keep the pitchforks handy.
