Chuck (02/16/2009): "Chuck vs the Suburbs"

Wow, Andy Richter as a spy. Whatever will they think of next? I’m a bit disappointed that they killed him, though; I would have loved to have seen him come back. It looks like Chuck isn’t going to get the data out of his head any time soon. Not only does he have the Intersect database, he now has the Fulcrum database as well. Chuck’s brain must be more receptive to handling this kind of uploading, as he seems to be only one that could survive the process.

Other highlights of the episode:

This episode, incidentally, was directed by Jay Chandrasekhar of Super Troopers and Beerfest fame.

It had its moments but I was less than impressed with this one. I think part of it is a strong dislike for Jenny McCarthy’s ‘acting’ at this point.

You mean “crazy cougar lady”.

But is he dead? Remember: They thought Chuck had died also. He’s too good a character actor to kill off so readily.

I didn’t think they died after the experiment. They just turn into babbling mental cases.

But they were zipping him up in a body bag. So while he might not be dead, it does seem as if he is.

Most of the Fulcrum agents were alive but catatonic, but they made it a point to show Andy Richter being zipped up into a body bag.

And which episode showed Chuck being dead?

Fulcrum thought he was dead after doing the experiment. They mentioned dumping his body somewhere but then he woke up.

I think they thought that they had fried his brain, not killed him. They were going to dump him where the other guy with a fried brain was (who was in the teaser).
