I agree completely. And it’s going to make missing this show after the 2hr finale all the worse.
I like how memory wiping Jeffster just didn’t ever seem to last. I doubt they’d have gone there if the show wasn’t wrapping up, but memory wiping stuff is such a cliche, I’m glad to see it fail.
Minor gripe, Sarah and Casey should’ve gotten the intersect suppressor from the general before heading off to save Chuck. She didn’t necessarily need to use it before then (though being the master spy she is, she probably should have) but just having it to use when the intersect started affecting her would’ve been a good idea.
Yeah, I didn’t get the intro either and with so few eps left I was slightly annoyed at not getting the regular ones. Well, not really annoyed, but I can’t come up with a better word at the moment.
Final two episodes tonight. This show has always delivered great season finales (that they thought might be series finales). Can’t wait to see what they have for us tonight!
Very nice. Loved all the tied up strings. But, I gotta tell ya, it could have ended with Sara killing that guy and I would have been happy. Good Lord, he was harder to kill than Jason Voohrees.
Well, at least we got Momma Bartowski again. And we got Ellie saying, “Aces, Charles.”
Woo hoo!
I liked that last exchange that Jeff and Lester had with Big Mike.
A good and satisfying finale, although I really expected Sarah to get her memory back somehow before the end. I found it all much more bittersweet instead of the joyful ending I expected. Man, I can’t believe it’s over.
I’ve gotta type this one without reading the thread … I missed both halves of the finale because Time Warner Cable is staffed by incompetent bastards. No, no, it’s certainly no huge shocker that Time Warner Cable could screw up, but I have had zero problems in the two years that I’ve been subscribing, then this week it’s like they couldn’t hit water if they fell out of a boat. I guess that they were saving it up for one big earth-shattering kaboom of idiocy.
The Chuck team does series finales right. This is their best one yet. This time it’s for real. It was a bit bittersweet. I will imagine that Sarah will get her full memory back somehow, someday. I loved all the callbacks. I didn’t know you could say the word “pussies” on network TV, but apparently this isn’t the first time they’ve said it on Chuck.
I really am kind of bummed that the showrunners and writers didn’t resolve things on a real high note, especially since they knew from the beginning of the season that this would be the end. Ultimately, it feels a bit anticlimactic. This would have been an interesting season finale, but for the end of the series, I wanted more. There was a lot to like here, but it didn’t hit all the notes it should have.
I think I’ll probably go back and watch seasons 1 and 2 again, and stop there.
I loved that Casey spouted a Jayne line at the end. It was classic!
It was a great finale. Yes, I wanted Sarah to get her memory back, but I’m hoping this leaves open a little doorway for them to come back for a TV movie or something…
I closed my eyes and scrolled all the way down. I’m about to watch the last 2 episodes and i’m fully expecting that it’s about to get extremely dusty in this room in ~ 80 minutes. realizing that it’s the last 2 episodes of the series was somewhat similar to getting to the final few pages of old yeller. you know it’s coming and yet…
