Bought it yesterday, tried it out last night. It’s hella fun. I’m actually surprised that a game that simple could be so much fun, but it actually works. I can’t wait to join a team and start fighting injustice & ignorance alongside other Dopers.
One of the problems of grouping is that the most fun in the game (IMO) is creating new characters. I’ve got three already, ideas for another couple, and I can’t decide yet which one I like the most. So far I’ve got:
The Spectral Thumb
lvl 4 or so, magic defender. (I was very impressed that they let me set up a Golden Age Sandman style costume for this guy.)
Cicada Lass
lvl 5 or thereabouts, mutant tanker.
Admiral Chill
lvl 2, science blaster.
I saw Ryle Dup last night but we didn’t talk. Looking forward to leveling up and seeing the rest of the team (and making more characters!)
all I can say is WOW.
and, my apologies to the person who messaged me about being a SDMB player. I was in the middle of my first team mission with a couple of layabouts, and I couldn’t figure out the com interface fast enough to reply, and juggle my interaction with them.
This game is going to be huge.

I played all day with Dopers. Wow, is this game fun.
My guy is a Tech Blaster with Assault Rifle. When Ryle dug up his Blaster and five or so of us went in the sewers, it was awesome. Ryle and I would go forward, blast away with rifle grenades, pandemonium ensues…
Man, this game rocks.
Ryle is right. We now have a SuperGroup (i.e: a guild). Its name is C.E.C.I.L and it rawks. Ryle, since he formed it, is our Fearless Leader. I believe that both myself and Max can also join people up, although we have not tried it.

(For those of you wondering what C.E.C.I.L stands for, somebody (Max I think) came up with a really cool designation that I forget the first part of. Its Something Something Counter-Ignorance League)

Since everyone has 10 alts (except Ryle, who has 20), allow me to join the fun. I’m also playing The Wizard In Green (yes, homage to Brust to the other Brust reader out there), a Controller.
I spent 4 hours designing costumes.
How do I take a screenshot of my character?

Glory: To move your camera around your character, either hold down your middle mouse button or Page Up then swivel it using your mouse. Once you’ve got it lined up as you wish, press the Print Scrn button
KidCharlemagne: Not sure I totally understand your first question, but CECIL is definately still open for joining. The only requirement we’re imposing right now is that you confirm in-game what your message board nick is. Just send an e-mail or tell to the names I listed above.

Hey! Justice Blues is in there too! That was a blast last night, despite the fact I kept dying. I seem to do better with a blaster or defender in groups. Hmmm, maybe a controller. I know what I am doint tonight.

I have created Obsidimann who is a ripo… err tribute to the champions (the RPG) character Obsidian Thus he is jet-black. Picture later.
I have Stone Armor (Stone Skin) and Stone Melee (Stone fist, with damage inhancement) Just finished the tutorial.

I’ve only made a couple alts to test out powers, now I’m down to 2 characters, its an improvement I say!
