Well, two active ones(tonmdebb and samclem) and one former(Chronos). What more could you want?
The date is Saturday, August 13th. It’s open for location, although we have an idea. If enough people can’t make the 13th, and Friday the 12th would work better, we might do that. But Sat 8/13 is our first choice.
Where else can you meet three brilliant moderators? At the same dopefest, in a little burg like Cleveland? And we’re cheap bastards. We are on a budget. We’re probably gonna meet in a local dive bar, eat cheap, not have to listen to some loud rock band, and have great conversation.
Cleveland dopers did this last Fall. This will be the Second Annual Cleveburg dopefest.
I’m working on getting UncleBeer(another former Moderator) to show up. Has there ever been a dopefest where the mods outnumbered the TM’s?
I’ll be visiting Ohio during that weekend, but I will be in Cincinnati and without a car. If someone is willing to drive me (maybe I can convince one of my friends) then I will attend!

Keep in mind, I’ve got a four-year-old and a baby that’s less than a year old at home… so some jiggering might be in order.
I might be there stag. Might bring the Grizz-Cub with me. Heck, I might bring the entire Grizz-clan.
Damn! I have to miss the Chi-Dopefest for some silly graduation party on the 6th, then the very Friday (the 19th) following this is when I’ll be in Cleveland dropping the bus kid at school.
Huh, I never knew Unc Beer was from the vicinity, too.
And anyone planning on coming, feedback on location (even just in general terms) would be good. Are you all on the West Side, East Side, or far enough away that it wouldn’t matter? And for that matter, we’re still open for suggestions on specific venues.

This will be an evening get-together. Say, starting anywhere after 6 and running until they throw us out…pizza parlour, local tavern, anywhere that doesn’t have LOUD music. The one last Fall was superb, and a good time was had by all. It was pretty laid back. I would be willing to bet we set a SD record for average age of participants…it was “mature.”
Well, that and I’ll be in state anyway for a cousin’s wedding. But heck, some cousin or another gets married every year. That’s nothing special. A Dopefest, though, that’s worth travelling for.
I’m from the Toledo area, Let’s split the distance and all meet at Put-in-Bay (South Bass Island). We can take the Miller Ferry from Marblehead and eat some Frosty’s pizza, drink some Heinemann wine and stand inside the world’s largest Geode.
