And unlike MisterThyristor, I’m working that weekend, so I won’t be making the drive up.
I want pictures though, dang it. And I want there to be another one eventually that I can make it to (or a PittDope. I could make it there sometime too).

I might be bringing my four-year-old GrizzCub.
At this point, I would urge each person going to the Cleveland miniDope to email at least one local(Northern OHio/Western PA?) poster, and alert them to the event. NOt everyone reads MPSIMS.
I just emailed UncleBeer. He usually is out of town on the weekend, but you never know. The chance to meet tomndebb ought to be our drawing card.
I personally don’t think he’s human. I suspect a sophisticated “bot.”
No one can be that calm when posting answers to some of the more rediculous threads on here.
Also, anyone coming who can take digital pictures and post them to the Board after the event?
If not, I’ll try to do it.
‘Fraid I’m gonna have to take a pass on this one, folks. I’ve already got a camping trip planned for that weekend. I guess that’ what happens when I don’t visit the boards but a small handful of times in the past several months. And that, I’m blaming on Comcast. They buried me with more than 3500 miles of work in early July - and by the time I dig out from under, I’ll be shovelin’ snow.
Sorry I can’t make the trip everyone. Hope y’all have fun.
And thanks, Sam, for popping off that e-mail. I appreciate it.

samclem-why did you edit my post?
Hey Sam, I’ll take a ride
Just in case any of these folks run vanity searches, here is a(n incomplete) list of posters who have admitted NE Ohio connections in the past year (although some were visitors, not residents).

I’m afraid I’m going to bow out for this one. I’ve got to the Capitol Steps on Sunday and my Wiccan friend will be celebrating Samhain. On the other hand, perhaps it’s about time the Dopers in my area had a Dopefest.

I changed your spelling of tomndebb. (yours=tomm)
Nothing personal.
Well!
I am offended!!!
Not really, I was leaving Deb out of it.
See ya next week?
What you look like, anyway?
I’m planning on bringing my digital camera, but I am notorious for out-of-focus shots, so don’t count on me for ggod pics.
Oh, and I emailed elmwood, and I’m working on Lillith Fair.
I hope you all have a good time.
While you’re all together, would you mind coming up with an answer for PigBoy?

Welcomed to the boards by racinchikki, who proclaimed her love for me in a “purely platonic ‘chocolate-enabler’ way” (she’s otherwise spoken for)
Cursed by Eve for my “thorough research” in this thread.
The rest you can find out when you meet me.
Say, what’s this Pacer’s place like and how late are they open? It’s like a 2.5 hour drive for me so I’m a little hesitant, but I’d like to meet you folks… :dubious:
Pacer’s is a bit like a bistro sports bar. Two large open rooms with high-mounted closed-captioned TVs, (one playing CTV and the rest sports when I was there last), a bar in the first room you enter, lots of wood (panelling, floor, furniture), a menu heavily skewed toward (really good) sandwiches but not lacking in entrees or salads. I’ve been to a couple of going-away parties there and you can usually still hear yourself talk over the din, although with panelled walls, there is a din.
(I suspect the patio is now closed for the season.)

I’m the guy with one leg, and a watch on my arm!
You’ll have to ask Jonathan Chance for more about his picture taking abilities.
For thinksnow’s Columbus dopefest, I looked like Mark Twain. That is, after I shaved off my beard. But I can’t find those pictures anymore.
I’m 60 years old, 6’1", 175 pounds, glasses, have salt and pepper hair and beard, which is turning more salt than pepper.
If it were summer, I’d wear my SD t-shirt.
What you look like?
I saw this too late:(. And I also don’t really make it known that I’m in NE Ohio, so no one would have found me that way.
I would be there with bells on if I hadn’t already made plans to go to Michigan for a quilting weekend with a friend. Let me know if there’s another one, though - I’ll be there with bells on, and I’ll even stick bells on the hubby!

I didn’t see anyone in that link that looked anywhere near 60.
