And I’m definitely out - this week has seen me sick as hell (and I don’t want to share it) and has seen my moving dates firmed up significantly. To the point that 3 weeks from today I will be on my way to Tucson. And with that little time left, I’ve got cleaning, packing and last get togethers that have to be done.

We were planning on coming, but ElzaHub’s grandmother has been moved to hospice and we’re being told that things will probably be over today or tomorrow, so we’re just not comfortable traveling an hour from home right now with the way things are up in the air :(. Have a good Dopefest without us - we’ll have to catch it next year.
That’ll go over really well if I make the move to Beachwood in a few years.

Thank you Elmwood for hosting and collecting the beer! I had a nice time and it was really interesting to meet you all. I can’t believe you all turned out to be real live people… I thought for sure you all would be cartoon characters or something.

Good to see everybody there! Despite intermittent showers, we had a very good time. Kittenblue assured us she’d post photos soon (especially of BMalion carrying no less than twelve bottles of beer in the various pockets and pouches of his Utilikilt, thereby proving its manufacturer’s advertising claims).

Seconded, thirded, and fourthed. A heck of a good time was had by all and sundry. I was privileged to see a glimpse of the mighty and awsome powers that Moderators and Administrators weild on behalf of their boards. Though my mind was staggered by the sheer corollesence of the scintillating forces of the very universe itself, I comforted by the faith that these incredible energies would be used only for good.
I, too, wish to thank elmwood for being a most generous host. Hope you can match up all those wet labels with the proper bottles.

I am trying really hard to post these freakin’ pictures, but since my computer is down, I went to my daughter’s…where her CD drive doesn’t work. (the pics have been tranferred from the two cameras to a CD. The DopeFest camera jinx continues). Since my daughter isn’t home, I called her to ask why it’s not working, and she says I have to hook up an external CD drive. I’ve been crawling around on the floor trying to find the correct cord, and it’s not anywhere to be found. Found some other interesting stuff, though, and enough various USB cords to stock a store, just not the one I need. I’ll try again on another computer tomorrow. I should have a new computer of my own by early next week if all goes well.
Thanks, elmwood, for hosting again. It was great to see you all again, and to see the new faces of StinkyBurrito and CapnPitt, and to see how the little GrizzCubs are growing. The current plan, as I understand it, is a Hallowe’en combo DopeFest/Housewarming/Welcome to OpalCat at BMalion’s new home this fall, when it will surely rain.

Yes, I think this October a westside Dopefest is in order. It’s a big house and plenty of room if it is raining. Westpark. Maybe the 19th or the 26th.
