Oh; I apologize, Mr. Artist. I didn’t know you voted for Hillary. I guess I should place you with Bricker, then — as a right-winger smart enough not to like Trump, even though you agree with most of his agenda. Is that right? What made you change your mind? — Was it when you figured out that everything Trump says is a lie?
Do you mind answering three questions so we can understand your perspective?
Recently Trump called the bereaved widow of Sgt. Johnson, while her Congressperson listened. Trump says Johnson and the Rep. are lying; they say he is. Whom do you believe?
What’s your gut feel about complicity between Putin and a major U.S. campaign? Is it Hillary’s team or Trump’s that is probably more guilty?
Was Trump’s early concern about Obama’s birthplace legitimate?
Let’s just start there. I sincerely want to understand your position.
Thanks in advance.
Um, we’re talking about the same thing here. Gennifer Flowers. Prior to the Iowa Caucus. Bill and Hillary interviewed on TV about it - yeah, 60 Minutes sounds right, now that you refresh my recollection.
Look, if you’re saying Gennifer Flowers’ allegation was common knowledge, oh, absolutely.
But was it “common knowledge [at the time] that Bill Clinton was an adulterer”? Hell, no!
We’ve taken pity on you and discussed only your racism so far, but since you ask so nicely: What is the honest, contextual way to discuss experiments with cardboard tubes?
I said I didn’t vote for Trump; I didn’t say I voted for Hillary. (Came this close, but just couldn’t pull the trigger.)
As for the rest of your post, I don’t have time right now neither to go into all that nor all the things that would probably spin off from it because work beckons. Maybe some other time, now that you’re being all reasonable and shit.
As for not voting for Trump, you’ve done plenty to defend his actions and policies since the election. Your non-vote was nullified somewhere around Valentine’s Day, due to so much water-carrying.
Aruvqan, thank you for sharing such a personal experience. Although it is tangential to this rather silly pitting of Hillary Clinton, I think it adds important perspective to the broader topic of social attitudes toward sexual assault, and the lingering reluctance to fully confront and combat such a widespread problem.
I was brought up in a religious environment where, sadly, the idea was taught that rape was a “fate worse than death” that could rob someone of their virtue. I consider this to be an utterly horrible notion, and one I am determined that my own children will not be fooled into believing.
It is inspiring to hear an account such as yours of someone who has shown that their will and the value of their life is greater than the ordeal they have suffered.
I am so sorry for the pain you went through during the rape. I am doubly sorry for the pain you went through after the rape, the disconnect that your ‘friends’ seemed to have with you after your trauma. I don’t have many friends myself, but some of your ‘friends’ don’t seem to be concerned about your welfare.
aruvqan, It seems like you have handled this episode in your life very well. I applaud you for your strength, and I am glad that you have your life well in hand. You are strong and intelligent, you will be fine.
