Clusterz bubble game (not for the easily addicted)

It took my probably 30 tries to get past 19. And no, I don’t have the secret. And I wouldn’t want to face that one again.

For whatever reason, 19 is diabolical. Hell, level 20 I cleared on my first try.

Now on attempt 5 of level 21

12 and 19 seemed to be turning points. I finally cracked 19, limped through 20, and am now stuck on 21. Last night I made it down to two colors and a few scattered clusters. Then I missed. Random colors. My monitor is now held together with duct tape.

In Clusterz it doesn’t seem to matter where you shoot in cases where you definitely can’t clear anything. Is this correct as far as the number of new bubbles that are created and what color they are when you don’t clear anything?

I’ve played maybe fifteen rounds a night for three or four nights, and I’ve cleared the wheel maybe three times. Highest score so far was about 1550. Haven’t gotten past the second level yet. Either it’s pretty difficult or I really suck. I suspect it’s the latter.

Re: the new balls that come in; it’s on a cycle. five shots without clearing any, four, three, two, etc. then reset. if you get thoough the first cycle, you’ll be able to get severeal shot in without new balls flying in to gum up the works.

Also, I’ve noticed that once you get down to the the last twenty or so balls on the wheel, the balls that you fire tend to stay the same color for multiple shots. This means that once you get close to the end, it actually gets easier to clear everything; the trick is in getting to that point to begin with.

Damn you people…I’ve been playing Clusterz, and have been incredibly stuck on Level 11…must’ve failed at it 20 times. And all I could think was “geez…if I’m this stuck here, what’ll I do on Level 12? Everyone talks about how difficult that one is…”

Well, I finally beat Level 11. So what’ll I do on Level 12? Pass it on the first shot is what I’ll do. :stuck_out_tongue:

I’m on level 6, wondering how the hell anyone can get a damn bonus…

Might as well give my level 12 report also: one hour and counting. I’m wondering, is the sequence of balls random, or repeated for each level. I’m to lazy to figure this out for myself.

Having never played Clusterz, or an bubble-popping game for that matter, I’m sure that there is some strategy that I am missing, being that I am now on my second hour at level 12. Thus I ask you all, if I am in a position where I cannot clear any bubbles, in general what should I do?

Take that, level 12 :SMACK: And that. :SMACK: And that :SMACK:

Now the question is, do I dare start on level 13?

I’ve been stuck on level 19 since yesterday morning. Daaaaamn!

Reporting in on level 21.

It’s…impossible.

Cowboy up! Have some cheetos and get back in there!

Checking in from level 24…

Levels 12, 19, and 20 are pure torment. 21 isn’t too pretty, and I’m certainly not saying 22 - 24 are easy, but I fear loosing cookies/cache and having to make it past those levels. For those stuck on 19 – buck up!

Picked this effing addiction back up and started from Level 1. Have absolutely NO FREAKIN’ CLUE how I ever got past 19 last time. I think it was a hiccup in the space-time continuum.

By the way, for me at least game plays much better at the Shockwave site

I’m on level 30, and I’m pretty sure I noticed a pattern in the colors of the shooters. It might make it easier to know what colors are coming and to shoot accordingly.

That was a few days ago, though. I haven’t actually gone through and recorded the patterns.

It took me almost a week to get past level 19, a day or two for 20, and I’ve been stuck on 21 for the past few days. Any reasonable person would give up and turn their attention to something productive, but not me, it seems.

I’m well over a week on 19 now. Man, I don’t like this game one bit.

I’ve been stuck on 30 for a while … what pattern are you seeing?

I gave up after 19. There’s too much luck involved, and by having a nucleation site dead center and close to the bottom as that is, it’s almost impossible to win that level.

I mean, even when I’ve played perfectly I’ve lost simply because I haven’t gotten the colors I needed.

So I gave up. Challenging is fun. Frustrating due to bad luck is not.

Playing at the funny-games.biz site allows you to play against other people playing the same level, whoever completes first gets all their opponents points as the bonus.

I’ve decided to make peace with level 19. I beat it once, miraculously, and never got past level 20. So I just keep starting over with a new name and enjoying the game up to level 19.
