OK, this is old news, but I just came across it. First let me say that I do not like Jack Cafferty. Every morning I fix my breakfast (at work), it seems it’s “his time” on CNN. The guy just irritates me–the way he acts, the way he sounds, those reading glasses. I just don’t care for him.
So, I was quite pleased to be able to engage in this little bit of schadenfreude. No one was hurt, and Cafferty came off looking like a jerk. Neener, neener, neener.
Cripes! Leaving the scene of an accident and running several red lights while dragging the bike under his car? $250 and some charity work – talk about a slap on the wrist!
Why is it people are able to assault bicyclists or pedestrians, leave the scene and get a slap on the wrist? The bicyclist is lucky to be alive or seriously injured. This guy should lose his license, car and serve time. If it had been any other weapon, he would have been dealt with more harshly, I’m sure!
