I drink both Diet Coke and Diet Pepsi. I prefer Diet Coke, pariculalrly from the fountain. I only drink soda from the fountain or from bottles. Cans suck!
I like the 1 litre bottle. Plenty of soda for a film or a ballgame. Only trouble is that the soda gets warm as you approach the bottom of the bottle. As 1 litres go, Diet Coke tastes better, but I like the Pepsi bottle better (wider mouth). As a tie breaker, I buy whats cheaper.
But now the Pepsi company has come out with 24 oz. bottles. Coke countered with the .5 litre bottle. This could well spell Coke’s doom. The 24 oz. 6-packs are vastly superior, in both size and shape. Plenty of soda, but not so much that it gets warm near the end of the bottle. The .5 litre is a sad, sad substitute. Plus, the 24 oz. sixers are always sale. Perfect for taking to work.
I prefer Coke. I’m drinking Pepsi now (because, although I prefer Coke, at the street vendor outside, you can get either a 20oz bottle of Coke or a 24oz bottle of Pepsi for $1), and it has a sort of unpleasant aftertaste.
It has a somehow a “fuller” taste than Pepsi. And I will have to say that Pepsi is, in fact, sweeter than Coke. And the film–I agree that it’s gross, but the taste that makes the film also makes it taste better.
But, the new Lemon Diet Coke is tasty and addictive–4 cans today…
I drink Coke. I will drink RC if it’s on sale. (I am now.)
My mother used to be a big Pepsi drinker, so I got used to the taste of it in glass. After they went to plastic, it seemed to have a funny aftertaste, but I could handle it.
That is until one day, while drinking a 20 oz., I thought I had gotten something in the bottle. Looking through the top of the bottle, I could see an oily film on the top. It looked like those oily spots in the driveway. I haven’t touched Pepsi in plastic since, but I will drink it out of the can if that’s all there is.
I’ll take either Coke or Pepsi, but if it’s diet drinks we’re talking, I’ll drink water. (Why pay for Pepsi One when I can back up my tub and get the same taste?)
But those who share my non-favoritism between Coke and Pepsi, beware: Coke floats – good. Pepsi floats – waste of good ice cream. (Though I’d just as soon have root beer, actually.)
Do you like chemicals? You do? Well then, Pepsi is the drink for you! Pepsi has a taste somehwat reminisant of dirty lab iquipment. Unless its a fountain drink. However, wild cherry pepsi is better than cherry coke anyday.
Coke is The Shit (yes, i know its capitalised)Its best when coke syrup is mixed with fresh soda water, but most places serve pre mix now. I prefer it best from 2 liters, not refridgerated, and poured over a glass of ice. Film on the teeth, yeah, but its worth it.
Here on campus, Pepsi made a deal with the satanic staff, so that only their products are sold on campus. This is just plain evil. I cant even get Sun Drop for cryin out loud. For those of you who have never had Sun Drop, you dont know what youre missing. Mt. Dew? Yuck. just nasty. let the skateboarders keep it.
Overall, coke products are better than pepsi. Oh, and i think a diet ANYTHING is a sin. Thank God that no stores here even sell diet sodas.
Nothing goes with redneck cooking quite like RC. It just hits the spot when dinner consists of store-brand smoked sausage eaten cold, and a big ol’ plate of chilli and biscuits.
…and before i leave… all of you cheerwine drinkers out there, you are sick, sick puppies. You deserve to be drug out into the street at dawn and beaten with rusty claw hammers.
