Coca-Cola vs. Pepsi

Generally, Pepsi.

Fountain Coke will do in a pinch.

But no one’s mentioned Mountain Dew??

What is this “Coke” of which you speak?

Coke all the way, Pepsi is too sweet, and tastes flat.

Pepsi.

Coke, Coke, Coke all the way.

[sub]This is about soft drinks, right?[/sub]

~~Pepsi

Or Coke if they only serve Coke…

If they only serve Pepsi then that’s what I’ll get…

anyway, …Pepsi…

I do recall when McDonalds, that scottish place, would serve a somewhat thicker version than otherwise available. This was pure ambrosia. I’m sure some bean counter determined they could make even more $$$ by watering down the product to something less than ideal.

I found one serve-yourself place that had a malfunctioning dispenser in that if the lever was finessed only slightly, pure Coca-Cola syrup would dribble, allowing one to adjust the syrup/carbonated water to the desired level. This makes a much better soda, I believe, something that would render a Pepsi product probably cloyingly and sickly sweet.

Also, a true Cherry Coke is a thing of gustatorial delight.
Why, those europeans even mix coke and beer half/half!

There is no more appropriate beverage to consume with real Fish and Chips than Coke.

And you can call me Susan if it isn’t so.

27-22 in favor of Coke, but I counted votes when people said the other sucked, but never directly picked one.

Pepsi was down by alot, but it made a strong comeback in the end…oh yeah…

Coke sucks monkey-ass…plain and simple. I guess since I helped inspire this thread I’d comment.

Coke is so sweet…too sweet. In fact, it leaves nasty crap on your teeth. Bleh. And if you leave a glass of each out, coke goes WAY flatter WAY faster. Left in a tightly-sealed 2 liter bottle in a fridge for slow consumption, then yes, Pepsi will go flat first.

Obviously one can’t survive without the other…competition drives everything. But when it comes down to it, coke is just a random pile of crap.

so 27-23 Coke up by my count…the word must get out…Coke sucks.

Jury rules in favor of Coke, dudes!

Oh, no fear. You most assuredly are. I dunno, guys, I’m definitely still thinking Coca-Cola is the real thing. Look at the results. Pschaw.

And here’s another vote for Coca-Cola!

There’s just something about the balance of ingredients in Pepsi that makes be wanna urf. Really: Pepsi just does not sit well on my stomach, and it’ll fight to come back out the way it came. Ugggg… :insert green sick looking face here:

(But if we’re talking root beer… Henry Wineheardt’s (sp?) is the best, if you can find it. Don’t know if they’re even making it any more.)

<< I am cow, hear me moo… (Arrogant Worms) >>

The story of how Coca-Cola came to be the sole soft drink supplier for McDonalds Corp. is kind of interesting; it seems when there was only one store, recently purchased from the McDonald bros. by a certain Ray Kroc; he inquired of his local coke distributor if he would take pity on his poor store and perhaps provide (free) the big containers for his up and coming establishment. The distributor graciously provided not only the containers, but the syrup as well, or something to that effect. (relying on failing memory simms, sorry)

Mr. Kroc never forgot the generosity of the Coke distributor, and mandated that forever more, Coke would be the sole provider for McDonalds Corp. They are now easily the single largest consumer of Coca-Cola products in the world. I’m quite certain the local Pepsi distributor told him to get bent, of course, hee.

Pepsi and Coke have different tastes, but I still prefer Pepsi.

If you drink any Coke product, then switch to a Pepsi replica, you will notice Pepsi has a much more bold, sharp taste.
Ex: Dr. Pepper (Awesome), Mr. Pibb (Tolerable, but not good).

As a whole, Pepsi products are better and always will be better. Why? The reasons stated above: Pepsi leaves no crap on your teeth, doesn’t taste like the syrup they put in.

I am a drinker of hot sodas. If I do that with Coke products, I feel like it’s comin’ right back up. With Pepsi, no effect.

Pepsi.. Not a doubt.
Coke in a can has a slightly metallic taste to me. Don’t know why. Diet Coke, on the other hand, tastes much better than Diet Pepsi. So, if Coke’s what they got, I’ll take the diet.

When I still drank the regular stuff, it was generally Coke, although Pepsi wasn’t half bad. Now that I’ve gone over to the diet side, I’d say that Diet Pepsi is a bit less revolting than Diet Coke (but I’m drinking a Diet Coke right now because that’s what the gas station next door to the office sells).

Definitely COKE!!! If a restaurant serves Pepsi products, I’ll have Dr. Pepper, iced tea or something alcoholic.

Pepsi is like drinking liquid sugar. And like Tygr, I drink my iced tea unsweetened. My husband, who likes Pepsi, drinks his iced tea with sugar.

So there you go.

Sheri

Diet Pepsi. unless I’m putting alcohol in it. There’s something rather terrible sounding about rum and pepsi.

COKE! I used to love the old regular made
with sugar coke. Caffine, rot your gut, burn your nose! Damn! wish I could get some NOW!
What do you mean…wait for Passover?
Please explain to a Gentile.

Coke is much better than Pepsi. If I eat in a restaurant that only seves Pepsi-products I will go for 7-Up instead.
