Coffee. Because jail is a real place and you can't get the MMP there.

Alien kilt the MMP; no one’s posted since yestidy afternoon.

At last!!!

Finally home with my MMPers!

Last night’s trip home from school was “entertaining”. I got to the car to discover a dead battery, “courtesy” of leaving my headlights on for 3 1/2 hours. My cell phone battery was also dead, so I couldn’t call roadside assist. Campus police officer kindly supplied jump-start. Once the car was running, I got out to close the hood, and force of habit made me close the door. This resulted in my locking myself out of the car.

Thankfully, windows were down an inch or two, so the nice officer was able to poke appropriate buttons inside the car to get me in with an apparently homemade tool. I’m sure after this encounter, my honor-roll GPA would come as a major surprise to him.

I headed straight home. The car did need gas, but I was afraid to find out what else I could screw up.

Then I got home to find the board down. (sniffle)

And now that we’re back on line, I’m going to sign off and veg. I had a very rough night and a very busy day. I think I’m going to bed with Mel…

Yay! ::Snoopy dance::

Missed you guys!

Yes, it comes in a spray bottle. If you think you might need more than the one spray bottle’s worth, you can buy gallon jugs. Some of them come with sprayers or you can just pour it into one of those hardware store spray bottles.

Let’s see, it’s been so long! Saw a few doctors this week and trying yet new things to break the headache cycle. My confidence, at this point, is low, but we’re still trying. My disability got extended another month, so that’s a good thing.

Other than that, it rained here today. Poured hard enough that it reminded me of Missouri or Oregon, or someplace with real rain. My poor daughter had a track race today, but they worked around it.

I can report that apparently there are other things on the Internet. I found a few while the Board was down.

Ok, I don’t know about you guys, but I need my Jawja weather report.

Hello?
Is this thing on?

GOOOOOOD EVENING MMP!!!
I dodged thunderstorms and laundromat computer issues to get laundry done before hockey. No I’m making spicy chicken and broccoli stir fry with Eien Tsin peppers, with rice and a cucumber, carrot, and raddish slaw with rice vinegar and pickled ginger. And beer.

Nettie, at least there was help.

Swampy didn’t post the weather & the Whole. Entire. board goes down. Cowinkydink?
I doan thin’ so!
Y’up, it’s Swampy’s fault.
Grab the pitchforks & torches!!!

:stuck_out_tongue:

Feeling a little lost. Glad to be back. Missed youse.

Hi.

Looks like I may be able to drink coffee again tomorrow, after a month without it.

FTR, I didn’t blurf until 9:30am this morning. I know y’all were dying to know

alien didn’t just kill the MMP, he kilt the whole board!

I bought a bottle of Nature’s Miracle at Petco tonight, xo tomorrow I’ll [del] hose down [/del] spritz the carpet and upholstery and crNk the windows down for a couple of hours. With any luck, it will not only remove the doggyodor, but also the reresidual cigarette smoke.

That’s why we can’t have anything nice anymore.

That log-in issue was driving me battier than usual.

Good Lord the MMP is still broken!!! How will I ever learn if Georgia is having weather or not?

Multiquote does not work.

Midget, Congrats on coffee

: tacklelhug :

**red **- I don’t know about cigarette odor - Nature’s Miracle is an enzyme-based product that breaks down the residual urine. Just make sure you saturate the offending areas - assuming the pee got into the cushioning below the upholstery. Our cat peed repeatedly on my recliner, and it took multiple treatments to kill the stink - I think because the cushions are so thick and dense. As for the cig smell, you might try vinegar once the primary issue is resolved. Good luck!

Slept with Mel and had all manner of bizarro dreams which ended with me walking down a flight of stairs with a naked man following me and leaning against me. In the dream I wasn’t horrified or offended, just annoyed that he was following me. Anyway, after that, I couldn’t fall back to sleep, so Higgs has been fed and I’m caffeinating.

Today is the open house at the Harley dealership. **FCD **is taking his bike to show off the paint job. I’m going to follow him there to take a chair for him, but I’m not hanging around all day. I’ve got laundry to do and I want to do some weeding and transplanting - weather permitting, I’ll get some fresh air and sunshine.

Happy Saturday!

It appears that if I go to another site, then come back here, I have to log in again. Thank goodness for saved passwords! Guess I just need to open more tabs…

Yep, I’m just leaving a tab open for the Dope.

Red You might try Febreeze for the cigarette smoke. Same deal - saturate everything, then let it dry out.

While all of you early birds are getting up and going, I’m hoping to finally get a few hours of sleep. Insomnia strikes again.

Happy Saturday!

WE’RE BACK!

It’s pouring down rain here, hard enough to wake me up.

Dog and cat are doing well, eating, drinking, pissing, and shitting. Cat is still in hiding.

Here is my Thorsday post, with all about my poor dog.

*Sah-dog is doing so much better. We stopped and got food on the way home and I picked up some chicken nuggets for him (and the cat) and he (the dog) was hungry and ate a few, plus a little bite of hamburger.

Sah-dog has vestibular disease, which looks much worse than it is.
Or at least the ask-a-vet agreed with me.

I really debated taking him to the vet even though there isn’t much that can be done. He had a bad episode in the middle of the night, couldn’t get up, falling over, walking in circles. By morning he had improved a lot. He still had trouble getting up, but he could walk in sort of a straight line, looked like he was drunk. This is where I had to weigh taking a wait and see approach against stressing him out by taking him to the vet, and risk causing more problems.

My fear is that he has an ear infection and needs antibiotics but the ask-a-vet said if it was an ear infection he wouldn’t be getting better on his own. She agreed that I probably shouldn’t give him dramamine because of his seizures from taking benadryl. She also agreed that the stress of taking him to the vet would probably do more harm than good.
Now I feel better for making the right decision, and now that he’s eating, I think he is on the way to recovery. His head is still tilted, and he’s still a bit wobbly, but he doesn’t look so confused anymore.

Now if we can just get him out the door before his bladder lets loose. At first, as soon as he stood up he lost control. This morning he almost made it to the door.

Red You could also try a Moso bag for the cigarette smell. They really helped with getting rid of the musty smell in my house. I think that at some point in time a smoker lived here because I’d get a whiff of the smell every now and then.

The mortgage company finally got back to me, and they needed even more stuff. Originally I was supposed to close by the end of March, then by the end of April, now they are saying sometime in May.

Not much on the agenda for today. Clean house, clean the rug, and irk.

SSDD

I’ve got a load of towels in the washer. I’m hoping our rain is done - I plan to hang the towels out, but I may hold off till tomorrow to do the jeans. We got some good showers overnight - my gardens all look happy and quenched.

**FCD **is drying his bike, after washing it, of course. He’ll be heading to the dealership in about an hour. Thankfully, he’s not expecting me to hang around with him.
