A few years ago I won a Pierre Cardin mug warmer (you plug it in, rest your coffee cup on it and it keeps the coffee warm) at an event at El Camino College in Torrance, about 10 miles south of downtown Los Angeles.
Several months ago, the device quite literally fell apart. But when I go to places like Office Depot or Staples, or appliance stores, to ask if they have mug warmers, I usually get a blank stare.
Any Dopes in the L. A. are know where I can find mug warmers?
Thanx.
Have you tried Target or Wal-Mart or Sears or K-mart?
Have you tried Amazon?
I had the same dilemma when I moved from Canada down to Florida. I had my brother send me one in the mail. Not long afterward, we were in Walgreen’s drug store, and danged if they weren’t hanging on the wall in the “appliances” section. Try looking in drug stores. You might get lucky!
Walgreen’s? I hadn’t thought of that…only recently have Walgreen’s stores been opened in this area…
As for Sears, Target, and K Mart (Torrance), and Wal-Mart (Long Beach), I’ve been there and drawn a blank. And I suppose Amazon or eBay would require me to draw on my vocabulary for the right terms to use on the search engine…
Go to some garage sales. Sure to find one by you’re 4th stop. Offer .50, don’t pay over $1. They’re as common as exercise bikes, and just as worthless.
What ftg said. I’ve got three of the damn things from various sources. The first one I used maybe twice before I figured out they’re useless (for me, anyway, I’m not trying to pass judgement here ). The others are still in their original packaging. One of these days they’re getting dropped off at Goodwill, since I’m too lazy to hold a garage sale.
Gosh, even JoAnn Fabrics sells them, but they call them candlewarmers. Check out the kitchenware aisle of any large grocery store or Target, K-Mart…some coffee shops sell them too.
There is a little store in the Del Amo Mall in Torrance (CA) that sells cup warmers. I bought one there a little while ago.
I forgot to give the store’s name: Gloria Jean’s Coffees :o
Gee, I was going to tell you to try at Gloria Jean’s, but I didn’t know if they were in California or not.
