Mu Mu comments (without providing any evidence or anything) that I don’t read what I comment on.
I respond to Mu Mu saying something completely unrelated to what he said. I was really not concerned with laughing at or with Mu Mu, just figuring that I didn’t feel like arguing the point, but not really wanting to let it stand uncommented upon.
Coldfire defends me and comments on Mu Mu’s posting habits.
Mu Mu starts a new thread to accuse Coldfire of misrepresenting the truth in his post.
Others defend Coldfire, who also posts in his own defense.
Bj0rn posts to attack Coldfire, or defend Mu Mu, or simply whine about how sarcasm makes everything so gosh-darned hard to understand, I’m not really sure (while sarcasm is second nature to me, bj0rnglish is still somewhat incomprehensible).

Before we begin, though, I would like to point out to Coldfire that a brief search of antagonistic ATMB threads I’ve been involved in didn’t turn up any Mu Mu posts, but I’m positive there are a couple. So, I think you might be confusing Mu Mu with some of the company he shared in a couple threads. Maybe there are several people that share a single dick pointed in my general direction, and they trade off with it.

This is simply absurd. If I say that it is going to rain tomorrow, it is not considered a “wrong statement” by anyone I’ve ever met if the chances of rain are only 98%. People generally accept that a statement of fact has a finite chance of not being entirely accurate. Simply put, your logic is contrary to the general understanding people have about how to communicate effectively with each other.
And there are probably half a billion people in China who, if asked, would guess that he’s telling the truth (I’d imagine that with no other information, they’d be evenly split). However, I think it was pretty clear that Coldfire was indulging in mild hyperbole. Is that next on your list of figures of speech to eliminate in the quest for English to be understood by every brain-addled Icelander with access to the internet.
