Well, as a Michigan fan, I’m glad Ohio State isn’t going to lose to Michigan and then go on to win the National Championship.

Anyway, two amazing games and Georgia did what Michigan couldn’t and overcame a deficit.

My family made me switch over to the ball drop in the final seconds of the game. How did it end? Missed field goal?

Shanked left. Not even close.

Suck it, Buckeyes!

Ah, those sweet, sweet tears of tOSU fans. An 11-2 season is viewed as utter, degrading failure. :sob:

Looking ahead to next season, the best potential for tOSU upset losses is in away games at Notre Dame, Purdue, Wisconsin and of course, Michigan.

Georgia has opened as a 13.5 favorite over TCU.

I don’t gamble, but I’d take TCU on that one.

The Ringer’s Kevin Clark tweeted an amusing question today, roughly “what two schools making the championship game would enrage the nation’s fanbases the most?”

His suggestions were Texas A&M and UCF, which are pretty entertaining choices to me. UCF because there is a segment of college football resentful of “interlopers” and sees the top echelons of attention reserved for traditional bluebloods.

And A&M because the trumpian stupidity of their supporters would quickly make everyone despise them.

These, of course, are terrible generalizations and I am a little ashamed of the things that amuse me about college football.

Good games. Four tired defenses.

I’m not a follower of football, but I was at someone’s house today when we saw this happen. Stomach-turning stuff, but he seems to be okay now.

Burks suffered what appears to be a neck injury late in the game and had to be carted off the field to be given further medical attention at a local hospital. Purdue football’s official Twitter account would later provide an optimistic update on the player’s status.

TCU can still win this game if Mike Pence has the courage.

I completely forgot to turn on the game (nobody I cared about was playing.) I checked in on the web in the 4th quarter to see 59-7. WTF? A short conversation with my wife and it’s 65-7. I gotta find a replay of this annhilation.

We outgained them by 401 yards. We scored the most points in national championship history. And our schedule next year is… favorable.

My God, what Georgia did to TCU was painful to watch! Most of the second was waiting for the game to be mercifully over! Based on TCU’s victory over Michigan and Georgia’s narrow escape against Ohio State, I was expecting a competitive game. Wrong!

Georgia has a lot of returning players and an excellent recruiting platform. They definitely have a shot at a 3 - peat.

Thank oG I had just put my coffee down.

“Favorable”?! It’s embarrassingly weak. LOL

I’m still sad this college championship wasn’t OSU v Michigan

Ha! There are four teams who have won the national championship on Georgia’s schedule. Looking at OSU, for example, none of their competition, other than Notre Dame, has won a natty in my lifetime.
