College football fans: how's your team look?

And doing it for the win over Notre Dame… Priceless!

They are my new 2nd favorite team for now.

Sooner!!!

Unfortunately, after 3 games, they also look bi-polar. Squeek out a win against Utah State. Crush Florida State. Squeek out a win against Air Force. I’m hoping for the trend to continue and that we’ll have a crushing against the Bearcats.

Yeah, it sort of put things in perspective. I thought the fake FG was a great call, getting his butt to the hospital was an even better call.

Badgers are 4 and 0 and finally kicked an inferior opponent the way an inferior opponent should be kicked (Badgers 70 Austin Peay 3).

The real season begins in one week!

Still Numero Uno. Roll Tide.

The Sooners remain unbeaten and are probably the worst 4-0 team in the country.

At least Texas lost.

Your comment about “probably the worst 4-0 team in the country” prompts me to post the results of reorganizing the data into “Top 25” (as ranked before the weekend) and teams scoring at least 3 wins so far.

Try to predict:

  1. How many better scoring teams remain out of the Top 25 this week
  2. How many stay in the Top 25 when there are x-number of better-scoring teams available to move up
  3. Why attention is still paid to these obviously stupid polling methods

That was not rolling. That was oozing.

You can not go by the out of conference schedules to rate your school. Many teams are playing several levels down. It is too early to get fired up. The BCS has encouraged teams to beat up on lesser programs to pad stats and avoid a crucial loss.
Michigan has scored easily this year. But U of M fans can see the defense is not very good. The pass defense is not very good. If weak teams demonstrate that , the big teams will exploit it. They can score well enough to snatch victory from more complete teams though.

Au contraire. That was overcoming the speed bumps and then rolling to 17 unanswered points and a hard-earned victory.

Not so fast, my friend! That was Mallet throwing 2 picks, and handing you the win. “Hard-earned” my butt!

I wouldn’t be suprised to see that boy driving a new car to class tomorrow. From some Alabama dealer. :stuck_out_tongue:

Pac-10 looked pretty good yesterday.

There had to be someone on the other end of the errant throws to make the pick, ol’ buddy. Did you see Dre Kirkpatrick’s circus catch-and-double-tap to ice the game? Very athletic play.

Also, hard-earned =

  1. holding Arkansas to 120 total yards in the second half after hemorrhaging yardage the first.

  2. Controlling the ball on several tough, slogging drives, like that 8:15 long drive that put Bama back in it for real.

  3. A team deciding they didn’t want to lose after all, and going out without panic and making it happen.

States we should give back to Mexico: Arizona, Nevada, Texas. Oh, throw in Washington, too.

UCF dominated 4-0 Kansas State for 58 minutes before standing and watching as they marched down the field for a go-ahead touchdown on their final possession.

Would have been our biggest win ever (K State are just outside the Top 25).

Exact scenario played out in Cal @ Arizona. Total defensive slugfest for 58 minutes, with Cal ahead 3 FG’s to 1. But Cal missed a 40 yarder with 2 minutes left, and us long-suffering Bears knew exactly what was going to happen…let AZ march down the field for the game-winning TD.

Like we’re 4 and 0!

I’m not an alum, but root my home state’s team. I’d like to see them get their TE, Jefferson involved a bit more in the offense; they probably run the wildcat too often, and when they do, they never throw. Their defense will be stout, though.

Good weekend coming up: no way Cal will lose this Saturday! Go Ducks!

Bama fan in Tampa here. Not looking forward to the FL game. If they win, I have to be nice. If Bama loses, I get 16 tons of shit at work.

Heh. I’m actually predicting a Bama loss this week, but it could just as easily be next week.
